Chapter Eleven

I got the challenge idea from my cousin so thank you to her! Sorry that Courtney hasn't really been using the confessional, I just don't really like having to make a new paragraph in the middle of the story.

DJ and Eva. That has got to happen. I really want to help my cabin mates get together with their crushes. Well I mean, Bridgette already did and Katie's crush has a girlfriend, but Eva and DJ and Sadie and Justin could work out. But first I would need to find out a little bit more about Justin so he won't hurt Sadie. I know, this seems pretty weird, me caring about other people? Well to be honest I'm really glad that I found loyal girls that are good friends. I kinda feel like the Killer Bass girls have a friendship. I don't know if its just me. But I think of them as friends. I'm sitting at breakfast right now. And I'm sitting in between Bridgette and Dunky. Oops I mean Duncan. And our legs are touching. And I should move my leg away. But I'm not moving it. Its like I can't control it. Stupid leg. Stupid me for not having the enough power over my emotions to move my leg. "This challenge will be held right outside the door." Says Chris. We finish breakfast and go outside. I examine the Screaming Gophers. It looks like Izzy got eliminated. Oh right, probably because she was being nice to Katie in the rap battle. But I need to somehow find out if there were two or more votes for Leshawna. Cause if Gwen and Trent didn't vote for her, out goes the truth. We stand outside the cafeteria. "For todays challenge we will be doing the eat it or wear it challenge." Says Chris. "That's already a challenge. Have you and Chef lost ALL of your creativity?" Asks Heather. "Yes I know its already a challenge! But we're doing the extreme version! People don't usually use LEECHES or TOILET water do they?" Says Chris with a big grin on his face. Him and Chef laugh together. All the campers including me screech and say eww. "This challenge includes an advantage for the Killer Bass. To make it even, they can only have five players. Meaning they can choose who plays, and choose their strongest players. Killer Bass, choose who's playing." Says Chris. "Okay which three people are sitting out?" Asks Bridgette. "Oh, me please?! The challenges are like, so hard!" Says Sadie. "Like, so hard. Can I sit out too please?" Says Katie. "I don't see a problem with that." I say. "Okay we need one more person. How about DJ since he messed up yesterday?" Says Duncan. "Jerk." Mutters Eva. Standing up for her crush, huh? "Aww okay what ever you say, man." Says DJ. "Its okay your still my buddy!" Says Duncan. DJ smiles and they hug. Aww how cute. "Okay we chose Sadie, Katie and DJ!" Duncan tells Chris. "Okay, you three can watch. The rest of you are gonna regret not sitting out! The first one is for the Screaming Gophers. Who's going first?" Asks Chris. "Heather is!" Says Leshawna. "What? I am not!" Says Heather. "Okay Heather! I'll start of with an easy one. Live tarantula's! Eat it or wear it! Or you can say neither and let your team down." Says Chris. "UUUUGH! This is your fault Leshawna! This is SO disgusting! Umm, I don't want a bunch or tarantula's crawling over me and possibly BITING me, so I guess eat it." She says reluctantly. "Okay!" Says Chris. Chef brings over three live, disgusting, medium tarantula's. "AHH! Why is there three?!" She yells. "You have to eat three! Now do it!" Says Chef. Heather reluctantly forces down those nasty tarantula's. Gross. "That's a point for the Screaming Gophers! Next is the Killer Bass! Choose someone!" Says Chris. "I'll go!" Says Geoff. "Okay! Piranha's is your food! Eat it or wear it? Oh, and whichever you choose, their still alive!" Says Chris. Geoff looks mortified. "Umm, wear it I guess?" Says Geoff. "Okay! You have to keep them on for twenty seconds! If you pick one off before then you don't get the point. Chef dumps a bucket of piranha's over Geoff's head. He screams as they attack him. After about five seconds, he starts picking them off. "Noooo!" Yells Eva. "No point!" Yells Chris. Geoff comes over to us and we help pick them off him. "Sorry dudes, its the human instinct to pick them off." Says Geoff. "Okay Screaming Gophers, who's next?" Says Chris. "I'll go! I'm tough." Says Cody. Duncan and Eva crack up and I stifle a laugh. "Hey!" Cody yells, glaring at us., "You can do it!" Yells Gwen. "You got this dude!" Yells Trent. "Thanks!" Says Cody. "Okay, next is toilet water. Let me remind you that these are toilets that OWEN has pooped in." Says Chris. "Wear! That isn't going in my mouth!" Says Cody. He puffs his chest as Chef pours it over him. Cody's face scrunches. "Ahhhh! That smell! Get it off I can't take it!" Cody yells. "You sure?" Asks Chris. "No!" Yells Heather. "YES!" Yells Cody. Chef dumps water over him. "No point! Killer Bass! Who's next?" Chris asks. "I'll go. I can handle anything." Says Eva. "Okay! The thing is raw meat! Its so slimy, sticky, disgusti-" Eva picks up the bucket herself and dumps it over her head. She stands there for twenty seconds. "That's a point for the Killer Bass! Gophers, who's next?" "I'll go!" Says Leshawna. "Okay! The item is dead ants grinded up in a blender! In other words, juice of dead ants! Eat or wear?" Says Chris. "That's so nasty! Um, eat I guess? Dat ain't getting poured on me!" Says Leshawna. "Okay soldier! You have to drink the whole cup!" Says Chef, handing Leshawna a cup of dead ant juice. "The whole cup?! But Heather only had to eat five tarantula's!" Says Leshawna. "If you grinded up three tarantula's it would equal a cup! Now DRINK IT!" Says Chef. Leshawna surprisingly enough is able to choke down the cup. "The Screaming Gophers are winning, 2-3! Killer Bass, pick your player!" Says Chris. "I can go next." I say. "Okay! I'll give you an easy one that anyone would love to eat. GREEEN JELLY!" Chris announces. No. My stomach drops. I should have seen this coming. Screw you Chris! No one likes you! "You don't have to do it, princess." Duncan says. I look at him. I remember in the first season when I chickened. I remember that he said that I didn't have to do it if I didn't want to. And I didn't want to. So I didn't do it. But now I'm so much stronger now. I've been through so much. And it has made me stronger. I take a deep breath. "Eat it." I say. I kinda already wore it in All Stars. When it sprayed all over me. So now I'm facing my fear and eating it. And Duncan said I didn't have to. But what Duncan says isn't true, I've learned that. In conclusion, I do have to do it. To prove to everyone that I CAN. Chef brings over a cup of green jelly the same size as Leshawna's cup with a spoon. I swallow hard. Then I take a bite. I feel the horrible texture I've always been afraid of. But then I realize that this is nothing compared to the emotional pain I felt when I got cheated on. Nothing. So I surprise myself by quickly forcing down the rest. I did it. I really did it. Courtney Barlow is invincible. I smile and run over to my team. I jump into Bridgette's arms and let her squeeze me tight. My face is glowing with happiness. I am glowing with happiness. I get down and give Eva and Geoff quick friendly hugs. I give Duncan an awkward high five. "Way to go princess you finally did it." He says. "Its a tie! Gophers who's going next?" Asks Chris. "I'll go." Says Trent. Duncan laughs. What a jerk. "Leeches! Eat it or wear it?" Says Chris. "Oh shoot. Eat I guess." Says Trent. Gwen looks concerned for him. "Awesome. This is gonna be so fun to watch." Says Duncan, and Geoff laughs and nods in agreement. Trent, Gwen and Leshawna glare at them. Chef brings him three leeches on a plate. "Lunch is served." He says. Trent picks one up. "Their ALIVE!" Says Trent, mortified. "Of course their alive, its CHRIS! I eat live spiders, just DO IT now!" Yells Heather. Trent take a deep breath and puts one in his mouth. He attempts to chew but then his eyes widen. He yanks it out. "It bit me! I can't do this I give up!" He says. "Okay, no point, still a tie! Killer Bass who's up?" Says Chris. "I am! Can I please have an encouragement hug, princess?" Says Duncan. I remember watching All Stars and seeing him ask Gwen for an encouragement kiss. What does he say that to all his victims? And by victims I mean the victims of his heart breaking. "No." I say. "Aww." He says. "The next food is rotten eggs blended with peas!" Says Chris. "Ha. That's not that bad. Wear it." Says Duncan. But he comes across the same problem as Cody, the smell is completely unbearable. He surrenders and gets it washed off. Its still a tie. "Nice job FAILING, Mr. I'm so tough." Says Eva. "Yeah yeah whatever you would have surrendered too if you were me." He says. "Would not. She says. "Okay Gwen, your the last player on your team! Are you gonna eat or wear the hottest hot sauce ever? If you wear it, your skin will burn!" Says Chris. "Um, I'll eat it." Gwen says. "Kay! If you give up we'll give you milk, but if you can survive without it for twenty seconds your team gets a point. Chef gives Gwen a spoon with the sauce in it. Gwen has it in her mouth for about a spit second when she screams for milk. Heather glares at her. "Its okay." Says Trent, Leshawna and Cody. Gwen keeps chugging milk. "If the Killer Bass get this point, they win!" Says Chris. "You got this Bridgette! Its up to you!" Says Duncan. "Yeah. No pressure, but please don't make our entire team fail." Says Eva. This makes Bridgette even more nervous. "You got this babe!" Says Geoff. "Okay Bridgette! Will you eat or wear.... Harold's boogers!" Yells Chris. "Oh snap!" Says Duncan. "EEEEW! That is the most disgusting thing I have ever heard!" Says Bridgette. "I guess, wear. This is for you, team!" Says Bridgette. Then the boogers get dumped on her. "Slimy, juicy, nasty boogers from Harold's nose. On you. And all you have to do is say you surrender to get them taken off." Taunts Heather. "Shut up!" Says Bridgette. She makes it the whole twenty seconds. After she gets the boogers washed off, me, Sadie, Katie and Eva all group hug her. "The Killer Bass win! Screaming Gophers, to the elimination ceremony tonight!" Says Chris. I need to find out if Trent and Gwen really voted for Leshawna. I go up to Chris and Chef. "Is there anything I can do to find out if Trent and Gwen voted for Leshawna?" I ask. "Well... there is one thing.... why?" Chris says. "I have a... little deal with them." I say. "Okay." Says Chris. I find out that yes, they did what I said and voted for Leshawna. But there were too many votes for Izzy for her to be eliminated. But this time there wasn't a specific person who messed everything up, so people will probably be voting for other people based off their relationships. That means I could get Leshawna eliminated. But you know who else is a strong player? Heather. And judging by the fact that she volunteered her to go first, I'm pretty sure that Leshawna is out to get Heather and will most likely vote for her. Then Heather would have three out of five votes and get eliminated for sure. I find Gwen and Trent chilling in their cabins and tell them both to vote for Heather. They seem pretty happy about that. What Chris made me do to repay the favor was put Leshawna's brush in Heather's bag. Probably to cause drama. Too bad for him that Heather's gonna probably get eliminated. I go into their cabin and see Heather. "What are you doing in here?" She asks. "Where are Leshawna and Gwen?" I ask. "Their hanging out with each other. And I was just about to go hang out with my friends. And I'm assuming you came to the cabin to see Gwen and Leshawna, well guess what? I'm not telling you where they are so ha." Heather says and leaves the cabin. Everyone knows she has no friends here. She's not fooling me. But thank god she left! I find a hairbrush what I know is Leshawna's bed since it has a picture of her cousin who she was trash talking about the team in TDA to. I put it in Heathers bag. Easy peasy! Tomorrow, I'm gonna try to help Eva with her crush. I can't help Sadie since Justin isn't here. But I do wanna find a way to help her out with that. How will helping Eva go?
