Chapter Nine

I wake up early to investigate Gwen and Trent. I've been meaning to do this forever but keep on putting it off because I'm too busy with my own feelings. My own feelings that I need to push away, in order to be fully focused on what matters the most; winning. I quietly leave the cabin and walk to the dock, where I saw them kiss last time. And they still have no idea who saw. As I approach, I hear talking. Could it be them? Yes it is them! I can tell by their annoying voices. "If we don't find out soon, they could use it against us. I think the best thing for us to do is find out who saw and tell them that we'll do anything they want if they don't tell anyone. We are SO not ready to let people know we're back together." Says Gwen, as I quietly poke my head out from behind a tree. "I just hope that it wasn't a mean person who saw." Says Trent. "Yeah." Says Gwen, and they look into each others eyes and kiss. Well, now I know that this is still going on. I hope they both make the merge so I can force them to vote for whoever I want, and do whatever I want. I quietly start to tip-toe back, but my feet make crunching sound on the leaves on the ground. I hear Gwen and Trent start to run after me. I run at full speed, but they see my back from behind. "Courtney?! Stop Courtney! We have to talk!" Yells Gwen as she and Trent continue to chase me. Finally I make it out of the woods and am about to run into the cabin but Gwen catches my arm. I swivel around. "What?" I ask. "Me and Trent will do anything for you if you don't blow our cover." Says Gwen. "Well I was gonna wait till the merge to blackmail you guys, but since you INSIST, I guess I can start now. I'll see you two sometime later today so you know who to get rid of from your team." I say smiling. "Okay." Mutter Gwen and Trent. I quietly go into the cabin and go back to sleep.

About thirty minutes later we are woken up and get ready then go to breakfast. "Todays challenge will be inside the craft tent so meet us there after your DELICOUS breakfast!" Says Chris, grinning as we choke down todays excuse of breakfast. When we enter the craft tent, we see that inside are bleachers and a boxing ring? But I thought we already did that in All Stars. "Todays challenge is boxing, which is NOT the same as in All Stars because you will be fighting each other ONLY. Here's how it works. You will fight with a person that me and Chef will choose from the other team. If you get a KO you win. The team with the most points wins. Since the Killer Bass still have more people, the people who don't get paired with someone will fight a Screaming Gopher who has already gone, which means they will be already injured and tired. This is a good example of why its bad to have less people then the other team. The first match is Leshawna vs Geoff." Says Chris. "What? I don't wanna hurt Leshawna dude! She's my friend!" Says Geoff. "Does it look like I care?" Says Chris. "Come on Geoff, lets just forget our friendship for a second and have a good FIGHT! Oh and by the way, you is going DOWN!" Says Leshawna. "Come on, be a man and fight her! Its not like she's a defenseless little kid, she can take a blow!" Says Duncan. "Thank you Duncan, that is very true." Says Leshawna. "Are you afraid to fight her because she's a girl? Because just so you know, almost all of the girls left are super tough. Gender doesn't matter, how tough you are is what matters." Says Gwen. "Yeah, I know, and I agree with you dude. I would totally fight Heather or Blainley. (Authors note: idk how to spell Blainley.) I just don't wanna fight her because she's my friend, but I guess I have to." Says Geoff, and him and Leshawna step into the ring. "One, Two, Three, FIGHT!" Yells Chef. Leshawna throws the first punch. Geoff punches her back. "Yeah way to go dude, knock her out!" Yells Duncan. "Go Geoff! Sorry Leshawna I just said that since he's on my team!" Says Bridgette. She didn't have to apologize. Leshawna punches back, but this time she hits him multiple times super quickly. "Sorry brother, I gotta win!" Says Leshawna as she punches. She knocks him out. "That's one point for the Screaming Gophers!" Says Chris. Dang it! Leshawna helps Geoff up and gives him a hug, then he wobbles back to the bench. "Nice try dude." Says Duncan. "Next match is Noah against Sadie. "Oh yay! You can do it Sadie! Go get 'um!" Says Katie. Sadie and Noah enter the ring. "One, Two, Three, FIGHT!" Yells Chef. Noah immediately hits Sadie in the face, which she obviously doesn't like, because she smacks him back over and over giving him no chance to defend himself and knocks him out. "Yay Sadie!" Yells Katie. "That's a point for the Killer Bass!" Announces Chris and Noah's teammates help him to the bleachers as Sadie walks over unharmed besides a black eye. "Way to go!" Says Eva. Eva, encouraging her team mate. That's great! "Next up is Cody vs Katie!" Says Chris. "Why do the short guys always have to fight the weak people?" Says Cody. "Did you just say I'm weak? Its ON!" Yells Katie as they enter the ring. "Get him girl!" Yells Sadie. "Ready, set, fight!" Yells Chef. Cody draws his fist back to punch but Katie beats the crap out of him. "That's another point for the Killer Bass. I guess Cody should be more careful what he says!" Cody and Katie come back, Cody limping and embarrassed. "To be honest, I'm impressed. I know that Cody is weak, but I'm surprised a pipsqueak like you could punch so well! And um, good job." Says Eva. Yay! I'm so proud of her! "Thanks Eva!" Says Katie. "Okay okay enough with the sappy stuff. Next fight is Heather against Bridgette!" Chris says. "Oh she is going down!" Yells Bridgette. "Hah. Good luck Bridgette. You'll need it." Says Heather. "Well, thanks, how kind of you." Says Bridgette in a sarcastic way. "You got this!" I yell. "One, Two, Three, FIGHT!" Yells Chef. They immediately start to punch. They seem like a good match, they aren't knocking each other out yet but their both causing some pretty good damage. "You got this babe!" Yells Geoff. "Remember all the times she's bullied you and your friends!" Yells Sadie. "Yeah!" Yells Katie. This seems to motivate Bridgette, and she punches harder, but Heather is able to stay strong. After a little while, they both grow weak and tired and collapse at the same time. "Tie! One point for each of the teams! Next match is Izzy against Eva." Says Chris. "Ha. Easy." Says Eva. Me, Sadie, Katie and Bridgette all give her a high five and she enters the ring. "Izzy is READY!" Yells Eva. "Ready, set, FIGHT!" Yells Chef. Izzy attacks Eva, hitting her hard, but it has absolutely no affect on Eva, who then knocks her out with one hit. "Aww. Izzy will get you next time!" Yells Izzy then she springs back up and goes to her team. Everyone congratulates Eva when she comes back. "Next up is Trent vs Duncan! This is a match fans have been DYING to see!" Announces Chris. "I would say wish me luck, but I don't need any to crush that loser." Says Duncan, laughing as he speaks. "You got dis dude!" Says DJ. "I am appalled by your cockiness. Who knows, maybe Trent will beat you." I say. "Wow. Thanks for the encouragement princess. I just want you to know that I'm winning this one for you, not Gwen." Says Duncan. I blush and look away. I am NOT allowed to catch feels. No way. "AWWW!" Says Katie and Sadie. Trent and Duncan enter the ring. Trent's team cheers for him. Everyone but me on my team cheers for Duncan. I know that there are thousands of fans cheering either one of them on. I honestly don't care who wins as long as Duncan doesn't get hurt. I care enough about him that I don't want him to get injured. Even though I shouldn't. But I do. Chef counts them off. They both punch each other. Duncan can hit harder then Trent, and pretty quickly it becomes Trent trying to defend himself rather then fight. Duncan hits face as hard as he can and Trent goes down. "That's a point for the Killer Bass. Next match is Gwen against Courtney!" Says Chris. Its impossible for them to win now, even if they win the last two matches, but I guess we have to fight anyway. And I'm glad about it. I need to hit. I need to inflict damage. I need to take my emotional pain out on someone physically. We get in the ring. I remember in All Stars when we fought. It was a tie. Well there will be no tie today. I can tell you that for a fact. I hear Chris talking. Probably counting us off. But all I can hear loud and clear is the word fight. And believe me, I will fight. I feel my anger flying through my fist as it swings towards Gwen's face. I can feel her blood on my hand. I don't stop though. I feel stabbing pain as she hits me back. The blood flows from my nose over my lip. I swing with all of my might. This is a lot more intense then our fight in All Stars. This is serious. I can hear people cheering and yelling. I hear a crunch and feel a crack against my fist. I hear Gwen scream and then feel a horrible pain. I see blood. I have to stay conscious. I try to hit her but its not hard enough. I pant as I look at her bleeding face. I just need one more hard hit, but the pain I'm feeling is preventing me from having the strength to hit hard enough. I feel a light punch. Its a light punch, but because I'm already messed up it hurts. A lot. Then I remember all my anger. All the anger fills my body and I chuck my fist right at her bloody face. I see her tooth come out then as I reel my fist back to finish it off I feel a hard smack against my throat. Ouch. I feel like I'm choking. I fall over wincing. "The Screaming Gophers win!" Chris announces. I failed. Gwen is a lot stronger then I thought. I guess she was just too "nice" to actually use her strength. A throat shot was a smart idea. I should have thought of that. My team rushes to my aid. "Courtney are you okay?" Duncan asks. I try to nod but it makes my cough, and blood comes from my mouth. "Does she need to go to first aid?" Asks Chris. I hope I'm not internally damaged. Then I black out.

I open my eyes to see that I'm at first aid. My team is surrounding me. "The Gophers lost. Their at the elimination ceremony. And Gwen probably wants to be eliminated for her own safety, because if she doesn't tomorrow imma beat the crap out of her." Says Eva. "Well, I do hate her, but I technically she was just playing the game." I say. "Are you okay princess? The intern treating you said that you were okay and can still compete tomorrow if you want to, and your voice sounds fine. The intern also confirmed that there was no internal damage." Says Duncan. "Yeah, I'm definitely still competing tomorrow." I say, then the girls help me back to the cabin. Turns out lucky DJ didn't have to fight, since even if a Gopher won, they would still overall lose. I go to sleep. Unfortunately I wasn't able to tell Trent and Gwen who to vote for due to my injuries; I had to go straight to sleep. How will I use Trent and Gwen to my advantage? Who was eliminated from the Gophers? Who does Eva like? (Imma tryna get it out of her!) Find out next time on Total. Drama. Island 2.0!
