TW: Arrogant dickheads not knowing what life is

[Phil POV]

"No, don't listen to them." I sigh, realising Dan's already to out of it process what I said. Dark cackles fill my ears, rage bubbling within me.

"Hey!" I yell, turning to face Caspar and his friends as Dan's head lays limply on my shoulder. "I've always been soft! Quit trying to mess with Dan's head! I know exactly what you assholes are like."

"Glad you know." Caspar states proudly. "What was his problem anyway? All I did was punch him. What a pussy." I glare him, an evil, cheeky smirk plastered on his face.

"Piss off. You don't know anything about what he has to go through without you adding to it." I pick Dan up bridal style, walking towards the group of teenagers.

"Yeah, I'm sure his life is absolutely horrendous." Caspar spits mockingly as I look down at Dan's pained face, scarlet, tear stained cheeks and straightened coffee brown hair covering his closed eyes. I briefly close my eyes, but all I see is Caspar punching Dan all over again. I clench Dan's hoodie, trying to hold my anger back.

"Shit lives only happen in books and movies, dumbass. What's the worst that could happen? Parents die and having to live with a number of orphan freaks? Does he get abused? No. I know that because it only happens in books and movies. Not once has it happened in real life." I slowly breathe in and out in attempt to calm myself down.

How is one so arrogant and oblivious!?

Instead of yelling at him, I give him a fake smile.

"I hope you have a good life," I start, stepping closer to the group as Caspar tries to figure out what I'm doing. I feel my face drop angrily, glaring into his dull eyes. "Now get the fuck out of mine."

I run through the whole group, blocking out all the chaos behind me. In no time, I finally make it back home, running Dan inside.

I place him on my green and blue bed, arms still glued around his stomach. I place a soft kiss on Dan's tinted cheek. I don't necessarily mean to, I just feel like I need to. It's like saying 'I'm always there for you. No matter what.' In my eyes at least.

"Don't be surprised if I get my ass kicked again," I say to Dan, laying next to him.

"But it doesn't matter, as long that you're safe."
