Two days later...
"What the hell is happening?" Yana ran a hand through her hair roughly, frustrated at what was happening. She had faint dark circles beneath her eyes from staying up late at night trying to piece together what exactly went through her friend who had been missing for at least 48 hours at the least.
"If I knew I would tell you." Ellie spoke up from somewhere behind a trash can situated in the alley where Shin Sungyeon had last gone missing. She was just as irritated and frustrated not knowing what happened.
"Why are we trespassing through streets that said 'do not enter'?" Hori asked from the middle of both girls who were hunched over the ground trying to find clues.
"Police tapes do not matter to us, one of our most important rules Hori, never forget." Yana's voice came out muffled, her head was stuffed into a recycle bin where her hand was wavering around furiously trying to find something that could be useful.
"Besides," Ellie spoke up, "It's not like the police knows her better than us, they didn't see her turning over a bed to get a roach out of the house."
Hori raised her eyebrows. "Point taken. Yana, you found anything?"
"You know, it would be helpful if you would help us." Yana said sarcastically and Hori huffed.
"Dude get your head out of there, that's disgusting." She said making a face. "And I am helping, I covered the whole ground area and all I found are some huge footprints and a rotten banana peel, nothing else."
The three kept on with their search until Yana shrieked inside the recycle bin. "I found something!" She pulled her head out excitedly, her red hair whipping back like a blur and in her hand was Sungyeon's phone and something else, small and shiny. In his haste, V had thrown the girl's phone into the recycle bin along with his ring.
"What's that?" Ellie pointed.
"It's a ring!" Yana said, smiling wide. Hori started to walk towards her with a smile but then stopped 3 feet away, blinking.
Ellie frowned. "What?"
"Yeah what?" Yana cocked her head to the side.
"Take a shower three times before stepping over a 3 feet personal bubble space I just created. Now what is that thing?" She gestured at the ring.
Yana made a face at her friend but returned back to her finding. "I don't know, a silver ring of some sort, I guess, looks pretty expensive."
The ring had a beautiful design of swirls of vines around it, the width was thick and didn't have a jewel or diamonds, just shapes and curls. It was very clean and the silver light glowed as the sun hit it.
"Wow," Ellie breathed.
"This is beautiful." Hori whispered too, caught up in the haze of a ring until Yana clicked her fingers in their faces, snapping them both out of the trances they were in.
"Hello? Focus! We got a clue people!" She said, spreading her arms out.
"How do we know whose ring that is?" Hori asked.
Yana shrugged. "I don't know, but now we got something that belongs to someone who kidnapped Rayne."
"It might not be." Hori contradicted. "What if that's just some random ring?"
"Well it's the best we've got, let's just hope this is not a random ring." Yana pursed her lips.
"I have a bad feeling in my stomach?" Ellie suddenly said and truth be told, her face was going green.
