Trying to digest her food around Daniel was proving to be the most difficult task Ellie had ever faced in her life. Who would want to sit across a killer, wear a pleasant smile and keep eating your food like nothing is wrong?
Her stomach grumbled and she cursed it before lifting her fork up to spear it with a pasta piece before putting it in her mouth and forcefully shoving it down her throat. Her appetite was going down by the moment and the fact that Daniel was looking at her suspiciously was not helping. He could not have seen her last night....did he?
Ellie crept down the hall, trying as hard as possible to be quiet and not make a sound. The beat of her heart was increasing with every step she took and it almost burst when she made it past Daniel's room. She was not the type to sneak around without having the fear of being caught, that would be Hori and Yana.
"Damn you Yoongi..." She was cursing softly as she went by. Apparently she was being sent on a mission in Daniel's house and that was snooping around until she found something that was useful.
Yoongi had mentioned his office, not the one on the upper staircase, but somewhere else and Ellie had not one freaking idea where exactly!
Licking her dry lips she moved slowly continued her short journey throughout the house. She would tell her friend that was still with her but after she found out what was so important to those boys.Making her way downstairs she remembered her instructions. Go left and find the statue head. Then slightly push it forward and try to see if anything opens. Otherwise, break into the library.
She face palmed herself lightly not surprised at all that Yoongi would expect her to do that sort of thing.
Breaking into Daniel's library could be so dangerous. If she got caught, she would be dead.
The floor creaked at the bottom stairs loudly and Ellie squeezed her eyes closed. Luckily she was the only one in the giant hallway.
Sighing in relief, she walked further until she reached the left wing door. It was someplace she was not allowed to enter and tonight, she was going to break the promise to follow those words. Pushing open the door, she gasped out loud. The room was filled with statues.
Different types actually. There were statues of devils and angels and many other types of statues also. She found it creepy that Daniel kept such a collection. Worst of it was, she wasn't sure of which statue's head she should push.
Deciding to try out the library first, she left the small chamber of beautifully carved but creepy shapes and headed for the library. The Coltsmans had a huge library.
The room was dim and not very clear but she did not dare bring a flashlight. If anyone woke up and saw the light of it, there would be immediate suspension.
Dozens of shelves filled the entire space and her jaw dropped open. That was some of thousand books. Walking through to the main hallway that separated the row of shelves, Ellie casted her eyes back and forth.
Sighing to herself, she wondered where Yoongi was at the moment. What would he be doing? Oh yeah, how could she forget his obsession with sleep? Even his first love was his neck pillow. He would be sleeping peacefully without a care in the world while she was literally risking her life trying to expose a murderer.
While her thoughts were being clouded with sarcastic comments at Yoongi, her eyes caught onto something on a desk nearby. Something very different from the only books she was seeing. It was a bright white envelope. A huge one at that.
