Yes! The day of the Double Date! The day starts of great! I wake up on the right side of my bed and go on my phone. Hugh had messaged me at 10:03am. It's 11:47. I message him back (Hugh: bold | Me: normal)

I then get startled by the sound of my Mum's voice, " Honey! Katie is at the door! ". I wonder how she knew I was awake. Mum's are like that. I have chills. I get up from bed and go downstairs. My appearance doesn't matter to Katie. I'll just change later. " Hey! " she greets me from the sofa. " Hey Katie! Why are you here? " I ask. " Well...'cause you have a double date...thought you might wanna go shopping. " she says. " Sorry but, I already have my outfit planned. I'll show you. " I say gesturing to upstairs. We climb the stairs and I show Katie what I'm wearing for the date. " Wow! You're getting better at this, Nicole! " she says with an impressed expression. " I have to go and freshen up. Meaning: I have to go for a shower. I will take time. Give a few minutes then we can get some breakfast. ". " I was hoping you'd say that! " Katie says as we both laugh.

I go to my closet, pick out the outfit of the day and go to the bathroom. This is what I'm wearing:

I brush my teeth and get into the shower. I turn the tap on and push it towards the red side. But not all the way. Just a little. Then I suddenly remember, " Oh no! I forgot to bring my phone! ". When I take baths I like to play some music (comment of you can relate to that). But today I forgot to get my phone, so I improvise and sing myself. I sing " That's what I like " by Bruno Mars, " There's nothing holding me back " by Shawn Mendes and finish my bath with: " Beauty and the Beast " by Ariana Grande and John Legend. I change into my clothes, dry my hair and just as I walk out, Katie scares the heck out of me. " AHHH!
Katie! " I scream. I was mad but then we start laughing our eye sockets out...I don't think that makes sense...yup...doesn't make sense at all. When we calm down she says, " Wicked singing in there. Forgot your phone? ". " Yeah. Thanks! Let's go downstairs. " I say. We walk down the stairs and the smell of waffles waft out from the kitchen.

We devour our breakfast, thank Mum and go to my room. " Are you excited? " Katie asks. " I don't know...Hugh was being really weird this morning which made me rethink my plan. " . I show and tell Katie about Hugh and I's conversation in the morning. " Because I'm your friend, I'm gonna be honest. He has a reason to be worried about tonight. " she tells me. " I didn't think that both of you would suspect this plan. The least you could do is support me. " I say to Katie. " Nicole, you know I didn't mean it that way. I was just- ". Before she can finish, I cut her off, " No, ok! I have noticed these days that all you want to do is make my plans look stupid and unreasonable. Both you and Hugh don't care, do you? Just get out! Leave my room! In fact...just go back to your house! I don't want to see your face! ".

She stands there until I say, " GO! ". " Ok. " she says. Before she leaves, I catch a glimpse of tears running down her face. She runs downstairs and says, " Bye, Mrs. Brooks. ". My Mum doesn't notice her crying. I watch all this happen from the top of the stairs. She slams the door as she walks out. I go back upstairs sorrowfully and sit on my bed. Moments later, I stuff my face in a pillow and cry my feelings away...
