It's been months since meeting with my father at the market, and speaking my mind to him. I haven't spoken to him, and I don't plan to. He made his decision, and I respect that, but I made my decision too.

Word got out that I'm now back in Cambridge, so now where ever I go, the people give me graceful smiles and say "welcome back." Everyone in this town is so kind, and the fact that they still remember me is crazy, because I was just a normal everyday girl, not some superstar.

I was declared dead to the public, but now I'm declared living.

Cole has convinced me to tell the police about The Others, and they are now searching for them. I don't know where their house is exactly, but I told them what I could, which was that it was somewhere in Texas and by a loading dock for a train. That seemed to be enough, for they said that they'd take care of it and they'd contact me once they have them, which I was more than fine with.

Now, Cole and I are still here in Cambridge, living in my old home. I kept everything the same, not wanting anything changed. Cole agreed to me getting a job, though he was on the fence and reluctant about it. Earlier this week, he had contacted his family and told them that he was staying here, and that he found a home with me. I was surprised when they actually answered the phone after he left a voicemail.

Now, Cole and I are striding along the bustling sidewalks on Sunday. People say kind hellos and greet us. Light snow falls from the sky, I tuck my chin father into my scarf that's wrapped around my neck. I readjust my gray, knitted beanie that's on my head and gaze up at Cole. His hood covers his umber hair from the snow. He catches me staring and I feel my cheeks heat up. He leans down and places a soft kiss on my cheek where they were tinted crimson.

He moves so his lips are inches from my ears as he whispers a soft, "I love you," to me, his minty breath fanning down my neck.

I place my hand on my lips and blow him a air kiss. He smiles down at me and I avert my gaze back to in front of me. The trees are covered with wet, sticky snow, the branches turning a darker shade. The still green grass has water droplets on it, creating a beautiful, intricate design.

Cole gives my hand a gentle squeeze, and even more warmth washes over me. I look up to see that we're right in front of the loading docks. Cole stares down at me, a smile wide on his face.

"You wanna go on a short vacation?" He asks in a suggestive tone. I stare up at him, my face gleaming.

"You're crazy," I say, laughing.

He chuckles, "do you want to?"

"Yes, absolutely yes!"

Cole takes hold of my hand again and we both run towards the open train car, the leaders watch us, and we don't care. They watch up jump up into the train, but they don't stop us, they only whoop and cheer, large smiles on their faces.

The whistle blows as the train starts moving. Moving away from Cambridge and closer to our next destination. The sun stars to set, the buildings starting to get smaller.

Cole wraps his arm around my waist and makes me face him, he pulls off my beanie and I do the same for his hood.

"I love you," he says.

A smile tugs at my lips, "I love you too," with that, he moves my scarf out of the way and closes the space between us.

The train moves off, but we stay standing. We stay standing on the train that brought us together. The train that started our journey of love, hope, and forgiveness.

I would have never thought, that after 12 years of being locked away, I'd be standing here, with the boy that saved me. Never would I of thought that I'd be here, no longer lost in this world.

Cole is my one and only, and I know that for a fact.

Because I fell in love with the boy of hope.

And he fell in love with the girl of scars.
