Chapter 3

"Umm who is it?" I asked
"Oh....sorry it's Jonah probably should have said that to begin with" he said laughing
"Yeah sure come on in Jonah" I said
Not going to lie I was excited Jonah came to see me I could really use a friend that's not my brother out here.
"Hey Mak, you got kinda quiet all of a sudden in the car and I just wanted to make sure you were alright." He said
"that's really nice of you Jonah, and yeah I guess I'm alright, just a little upset because it doesn't seem like Aspen or Jack want anything to do with me."  I explained
"Listen I wouldn't worry to much about them Aspen just isn't that used to another girl getting this much attention besides the fans and Jack probably doesn't even realize that he's not paying attention to anyone but her" he said
"Thanks Jonah" I said
"No problem M-" he began to say but was cut off by
"Bro what are you doing in my sisters room?" Daniel asked
"Daniel calm down Jonah just came to make sure I was settled and was doing alright" I said
"Oh okay thanks bro" Daniel said to Jonah
"Yeah anyways Mak I'm gonna get going we have to set up for the party" Jonah said heading to the main living area
"Really?" I said to Daniel
"Sorry it's just you live in a house with 4 guys now and I'm a little over protective"
"No Daniel it's fine but you don't have to worry about 2 of them because they're both occupied and Jonah is just a friend and zach is to young" i said laughing
"Okay just be careful and I don't know what you heard but jack and Aspen aren't actually together she just likes to think that" he said smirking
"Yeah well I don't care anyways" I said with sass
"Okay sure you don't want to come help set up for the party?" He asked
"Yeah sure" I said

(Jacks pov)
Mak is so pretty and she's so nice I can't wait to get to know her better I just hope none of the other guys have tried anything while I'm out with Aspen. Oh right Aspen...yeah we have a brother and sister relationship I don't know why she made it seem like more in the car. Maybe she just doesn't like Mak? I'll ask her about it after.
"Hey Aspen" I said
"Yeah what's up Jack" she said
"Why did you make this seem like a date in the car?"
"Well it is a date"
"No Aspen it's not I see you as a sister and it could be bad for my career if we dated and broke up because you're my managers daughter and I really value your friendship i wouldn't want to lose it" I explained to her
"You're right jack and I feel the same way it's just I don't like Mak she came here acting like she knew everything about everyone and like she's going to take over" she said
I was shocked I've never heard Aspen talk like this about anyone she's usually so nice to everyone
"Aspen I don't think she's like that and I think I might like her so can you try to get along" I asked
"Jack I just don't like her...I won't be mean but I'm not going to be fake with her" she said
I was about to say something when both of our phones went off. I looked at my phone and saw a group chat

Summer Squad 🍉

Jonah: alright I made this groupchat so that way all of us that are going on tour and will be together all summer can talk, oh and Daniel can you add Mak I didn't have her number.

(Daniel added 1-000-000-0000)

Daniel: good idea bro and yeah I just added her

Corbyn: I'm so excited for summer with all of you. Oh and this is corbyn by the way Mak

Zach: this is zach and I'm not sure why we're texting were all in the same house

Aspen: actually jack and I got ice cream together so we aren't at the house and I don't live there so a groupchat is good :)

Mak: I'm assuming that was Aspen and yeah it's also a good way for me to get everyone's numbers haha

Aspen: I'm not laughing and you assumed right you may not be pretty but at least you have a brain

Mak: oh um okay well....

Jack: Aspen did you have to make it awkward?! This is jack by the way and we will be back soon to help set up for the party

End of Conversation

(Still jacks pov)
I looked up from my phone and glared at Aspen while she was smiling to herself
"Really?!" I said to her "Don't say anything let's just go back and help set up" I said
We got back to the house and we were greeted by all the boys except Jonah and Mak wasn't there either.
"Where's Mak and Jonah?" I asked
"In her room she's kinda upset right now so I'd leave them be" Daniel said glaring at Aspen
I'm not going to lie I felt jealous knowing that Jonah was alone with her right now.
