Today I was at the studio finally shooting the models for the magazine preview for my line. So far everything was going good and I was pleased that things were moving smoothly. Even though, things were good I still couldn't help but hold my breath that something would happen. I had never done anything this big that meant so much to me. This was my line and I needed for everything to go right. I had put so much work into this and I couldn't let it fail.

"Hey boss all the models have been checked in and dressed and most of them have been shot," Denise said coming up to me with her IPad in her hands. I had never seen her look so professional.

"Why do you say most of them?"

"Well the model we had picked for the cover has not shown and it doesn't look like she will." I sighed. I knew something like this would happen. Without that model the magazine would not be complete.

"We need that model for the cover."

"I can try and find someone else to take her place."

"It's not that easy. I had her picked especially for that outfit because she was the only one that could pull it off."

"Look I can have five new models come down here for you to pick from." I leaned against the wall trying to think. I knew no amount of models would do. It took me forever to find that model so I knew it wouldn't be so easy again. I looked at the current models shooting then back at Denise. She was pecking at her tablet in frustration. I took in her features then smiled.

"That won't be necessary." She snapped her head up to meet mine.

"What do you mean? You just said you needed the cover and if we don't have someone then we don't have a cover."

"Oh we will have a cover because I have a model."

"Who?" I smiled at her.

"You, of course." Her face went from confusion to fear. "Um Lelaih I think you have forgotten that I am not a model. I have many talents but modeling isn't one of them."

"Don't worry about all of that Denise. The photographer will guide you to make sure you get the right pose."

"I don't feel comfortable working with a stranger like that." I bit my lip trying to think again.

"Okay what if you call your boyfriend to shoot you then will you do it? I will even pay him for his work." She looked down at the floor thinking about what I said. It took her a few seconds before she looked back up. "Fine I will do it." I smiled hugging her tight. I thanked her and then sent her to the dressing room to get changed.

"Lelaih I want you to meet my boyfriend, Chase Greywood," Denise said coming up to me with a tall man that stood about Cordell's height with a dark complexion that matched that of an Indian with slick black hair that reached his shoulders.

"Pleasure to meet you." I stuck my hand out and he shook it. "I want to thank you for doing this on such short notice."

"Anything to help out my girl. When she called and told me I was surprised she said yes but I thank you for the opportunity." We set the stage and got Denise into positon. At first she was stiff and didn't know how to move her body but once Chase talked to her and got her laughing she was a natural. She was actually modeling the clothes well. I was proud of her.

"How did I do?"

"Well I have to say you looked gorgeous."

"You really think so?"

"I know so now let's get you dressed so we can all go home."

By the time I got home I was exhausted from everything. I instantly took off my shoes happy to finally be home. I sniffed and I could smell that food had been cooked making me very hungry. "You're finally home." I looked up to see Cordell coming down the stairs smiling.
