Final Chapter- We Are All Simply Ninja

Akuma POV:

'So many cookies...Come to me...' I opened my mouth and bit on something soft.

My eyes opened and I spit the soft object out of my mouth, 'Ew...What the...' I saw a bite mark on the pillow I was lying on. I looked around the room I was in. The sun was setting. 'Hey.. This is the.....'

"Akuma...You're awake." Gaara walked in the room. "Gaara!" I grinned. "How is your shoulder?" I asked.

"I'm fine." Gaara stood next to my bed. "The stiches opened up when I saved you from your dad." I opened my mouth. "What happened? Kiba found us and brought us to the hospital in Kohana. The sand village is under construction. You were asleep for 2 weeks. Everyone is healthy. And most importantly..."

He bent down and kissed me. "You're alive." "Great...You're physic now. I have a physic boyfriend" I said in a sarcastic tone. "Well. You can say it was just a lucky guess." He smirked and kissed me again.

Kiba and Kakashi walked in the room. "Why is it we're always interrupted?" Gaara growled. I shrugged.

"I can see you're finally awake, Akuma" Kakashi said. I nodded. "You two lovebirds need a room" Kiba was frowning.

"At least I have someone special in my life, unlike you" Gaara snapped. Kiba pouted. "Fine... Fine..."

Gaara was looking straight into my eyes. "Uhhh...Gaara? What are you doing?" I asked. "Did you look at a mirror yet?" he said. I shook my head. "Well. You should."

I got off the bed and Kiba grabbed my hand. "Let me see." I had a confused look on my face. Kakashi and Kiba looked at my eyes. Their eyes widened. "Y-Yeah..You really should go look into a mirror" they both said.

I headed to the bathroom. I felt around my left eye. 'My scar is still here...' I walked into the bathroom. 'What could it be..' I looked into the mirror.

I took a step back. "I-Impossible" I said aloud. My eye was completely normal. My demon eye was gone. Both my eyes were symmetrical. I looked human.

There was a knock on the door. I opened the door and Gaara was standing there. "Hey... Are you ok?"

Gaara POV: 

Akuma had tears coming out of her eyes. "Y-Yeah.." She was smiling. "Are you happy?" She nodded her head quickly. She hugged me and I hugged her back. "Everyone is here to visit you" I said. "Let's go see them" Akuma replied.

Everyone greeted Akuma and most commented on her eye. When the night came, we all said our good-byes.

"Akuma, be safe, ok?" I said. She was going home with Kakashi. "Don't worry" she replied. She kissed me. "You be careful, too." We both went our separate ways.

(SPOILER!!!!)

No one's POV:

*During the night, Gaara gets kidnapped by the Akasuki. Akuma goes with Team Kakashi to bring Gaara back. When Gaara dies, Akuma is full of sadness and guilt that she couldn't save Gaara until Lady Chiyo brings Gaara back to life.*

Akuma POV:

"Gaara!" I hugged Gaara. "I told you to be safe, dammit" I lectured. I was crying out of happiness. "I'm sorry, Akuma.." He stood up. "Everyone...pray for Lady Chiyo..." 

Gaara shakes hands with Naruto later on. Akuma and Gaara go their separate ways again.

*fast forward*

No one's POV:

*Two years pass. Akuma and Gaara are now 16. They haven't been talking to each other lately, so Akuma takes this opportunity to train. She trains under Kakashi and becomes stronger. She learned to use Chidori.*

*The Akasuki declare war. During Gaara's speech, Akuma stands in the crowd. After the speech, she goes to see Gaara. She visits his home and finds him in his room.*

Gaara POV:

The door opened and Akuma walked in. My eyes widened. "Akuma...How have you been?" She pouted and hugged me.

"Just because we haven't seen each other in 2 years, doesn't mean you have to be so formal" she lectured. I hugged her back. "You look beautiful" I commented.

She let me go and crossed her arms. "I barely changed. I only got rid of my mask and stopped covering my eye with my headband. You're the one that changed." "We both changed, ok?" I said. She grinned. "Ok."

She kissed me. "I missed you so much. I'm sorry I couldn't see you often. I was training under Kakashi." "I'm sorry, too" I replied. 

Her face wasn't happy, but depressed. "Hey, Gaara. Don't die during the war, ok? I'll be there with you." "I'll be with you, too."

*The war continues for 4 years. The Akasuki are defeated and peace is brought to the ninja world. There is no more sand, stone, leaf, mist, cloud, etc.*

Akuma POV:

"Hurry up, Kakashi!" I yelled. "I'm coming, I'm coming" he said. "I'm not as young as I used to be, you know.' I rolled my eyes.

We were moving in with Gaara, Temari, and Kankuro. 'I finally get to see Gaara. I haven't seen him since the war.' We arrived in front of our new house. I knocked on the door.

Gaara opened the door. I hugged him. "You've grown so much..." he commented."4 years...We're both 20. Yup. We grew a whole lot. Official adults. And guess what? I'm a Jonin!" I yelled the last part aloud. He smiled. "Really? That's awesome!"

He glanced over at Kakashi. "Hey, Kakashi. Are you ok?" "Yeah. Like I said, I'm not as young as I used to be" Kakashi said.

*A few months later*

Akuma POV:

"Gaara, why are you blindfolding me?" "I need to do this important task, but I need to blindfold you first." Holding my hand, Gaara guided me somewhere.

He untied the blindfold. We were in the forest. I observed the place and trees carefully. On one certain tree, there were scratches on it.

"Hey isn't this where.." I started to say. "Yeah. The place where we confessed." Gaara smiled. 

"Why are we here?" I asked Gaara. He avoided eye contact. "Well, I just wanted to do something special, since we have been dating for 6 years, but I never really went on a official date with you..."

He was on one knee. My eyes widened. "Will you marry me, Akuma? The girl who helped me find out what love is?" He was holding out a sliver ring, the kanji character 'love' was carved into the ring.

"Yes" He put the ring on my ring finger and kissed me.

My favorite line from Gaara's speech:

"..There is no sand, no stone, no leaf, no mist, or cloud! For we are all simply ninja!!!" -Gaara

Don't get a heart attack! I'm going to write a short story about their wedding and future. This is the final chapter of the book. I hope you liked it. I enjoyed writing it.
