"The world was thrown into instant confusion, with a lot of controversial theories thrown around. That man was the reason why the world finally decided to set aside their differences and work together." The hologram continued.

"How are you sure he wasn't lying or it wasn't some form of trickery?" A girl in her late teens asked, her name tag read Rosita.

"He had something that belonged to them, an object that granted him powers. He called it a shard, an object of immense power. It gave us at least a levelled playing ground for when they arrived." The hologram replied.
"He said the reason for the attack was to find another shard hidden somewhere on earth".

"Has it been discovered yet?" Ayodele asked.

"No".

"So he came from the future without a map or an idea on how to find it?".

"He couldn't find it, he said something happened and the earth was destroyed".

"That's rubbish!".

"Shut up and listen, I'm not here to fill in any blank spaces but to act as your training instructor! You all agreed to this and signed up for it".

My mind started racing and I remember someone, a little boy holding my hand and crying. Saying things I can't hear.

"But this entire thing doesn't make sense." A man in his late twenties replies,"How can he bring shard vrom za future and it doesn't vade away, doesn't zat mean zat ze timeline hasn't been changed?" His nametag reads Vladimir.

"Impressive, we have many theories about why the shard is still here but for now we're just trying to use it to find the earth shard." The hologram replied. "Alriiigghhhtttt that's about enough questions for now, your meals will come through the suction tubes and after that you all should get to know each other because you're going to be here for a long time".

Then he disappeared.

The suction tubes were located in the dinning area within the walls there were three in number and were always closed until something needed to come through.

"Did you notice that there's a suction tube in your room?" Miriam asked. "Everyone seems to have one".

"No, I didn't explore. I'm still a little confused as to how I can't remember anything especially signing up for this." I replied.

"Same here".

"Can't remember where I came from or my parents and now aliens, this is so weird".

"Enough with that, look the first three packages are coming through and looks like they're all the same meal".

She smiled.

I smiled back.

Then I felt a hand on my shoulder.
