Chapter 5: The Insect Man

There he was, he looked like a someone who had been through a lot, and the scar across his eye stretched from his hairline to his nose.

"Hello Seven, I'll need you to look into his eyes again and see if you can find any more information regarding what is coming." He said "There's a possibility that by coming back in time I've created a different timeline".

Timeline? Lost Memories? Training? End of the world? Everything was so confusing.

"I'm so confused right now, answer this first, what is going on?"I asked.

"The 30 of you were chosen out of all the people who signed up, you all had memories of things that would stop you from reaching your true potential suppressed, things like family and friends and home. The 30 of you will be trained in the ways of the invaders for the next few years". The hologram man said.

"But if the timeline is changing and the ships are different, we might be in big trouble." Tony added.

"Fine, take me to Khalid." I said.

I was taken away the same way Khalid was with everyone discussing within themselves wondering what I had done. Rosita, Miriam and Ayodele looked on as I rose up. They eyes full of questions as the men who took me away injected me with something.

As I passed out I remembered the look on their faces, the look of fear.

When I woke up I was on a bed opposite a containment holding Khalid whose eyes and mouth were open.

"No one else can see what you saw." I heard Tony say.

I hadn't noticed him sitting on a chair not to far to the left of my bed.

"You should try to look again." He added.

I got up from the bed and walked towards the containment holding Khalid, he was held in an upright position, the containment door opened and he said it again.

"We're coming... We will kill you all as we have done to everyone else... The 12 shall become one and we will be gods".

I looked at Tony who was jotting down furiously.

"Nothing you do will stop us".

I turned and looked into Khalid's eyes and this time I saw a creature standing over dead bodies. The creature was big and muscular with beady eyes and proboscis for a mouth.

"Stop looking, you're bleeding seve..."

But it was too late.

I fell to the floor.

"Seven...can...you...hear...me" I could hear Tony calling out.

"Ughh, my head." I replied.

"It's the adrenaline boost".

"Did you hear that?".

"Yes seven, every last word, what did you see".

"It had the head of an insect and the body of a well built man with claws that could rip doors, how can the 30 of us defeat them?".

"Don't stress about it, we have something that they don't and in due time they won't be a problem".

Just then the door opened and the hologram man came in with the men from earlier.

"Thank you Charles, it's time to head back." He said.

As I was injected by the liquid from earlier Tony held me and said.

"Seven, remember to keep this between us."
