Darkness.
I open my eyes a little but the light from the bulb in the ceiling is piercing, I use my hands to shade my eyes from the light, my head aches badly. I sit up and discover I'm on a bed, I try to think but my head is blank, like something- like everything has been sucked right out of it. I don't remember anything that happened before I woke up, I have no memories.
I look around, to my left there is a table, to my right a door and in front of me a reflective wall, I try to stand but I feel dizzy, I eventually manage to walk towards the door and I open it, outside the room to my right and left is a long hallway with over 20 doors. I step out and hear faint laughter coming from the left end of the hallway, the laughter seems to be coming from a group of people, fear grips me as I tiptoe towards the sounds.
I see names on the doors as I walk by, James, Emmanuella, Henry, Audrey, Mariam... I go back to my door to check the name, Charles, not a bad name I think. I turn towards the sounds again, the laughter gets louder with each footstep. The hallways joins up to a large room and I see boys and girls dressed up like me, white from head to toe. They all stop laughing and talking and look at me.
"Uh, Hi?" I say.
A tall boy with bushy curly hair stands up and says "slothy-bones, you must be a grizzly bear, how long does it take you to hibernate?"
"Shut up and be sensitive for once Johann." A short girl with short thick hair says. "Hi! I'm Miriam and you must be Charles." She adds as she walks up to me checking a tag on my shirt I didn't notice was there before.

"Batch number?" I ask.
"Yeah, I'm 777-10." She replies.
"Oh."
"Yeah, and the 777 seems to be quite important because we all have it."
"How long have you all been here?"
"I'm not sure, two hours max. The first boy who woke up, Alexander, said he met a hologram man who told him to make us wait here till we all woke up."
Just then the lights went low and a hologram appeared in the middle of the room.
"Hello ladies and gentlemen, I'm an artificial intelligence designed to guide you through your journey. I can assure you that everything will be explained to you soon and you will begin to understand things more clearly and..." he is cut short by a guy who is a little taller than me.
"Well I would begin to understand things more clearly if you turned the friggin lights back on!"
I check the boy's tag, it reads:

His name doesn't sound familiar though it's surprising that I still remember some things like how to speak, food, names and how to describe things and distinguish them. Whoever did this to me- to us must be insanely intelligent.
"As I was saying." The hologram continued, "If you follow rules and behave in an orderly fashion you will not be punished. Rebellion is never an option. The earth will be invaded by an alien race called the Ra'Kh'Li and many people will die or be turned into bio-weapons."
"How do you know that and how does that relate with me being here?, it's not like I'm an army official or something." I ask without thinking.
"If you are patient enough, I'll explain that to you so no more interruptions." The hologram replied.
"A man appeared some years ago in the middle of a football match with strong proof he was from the future, he told us they were coming".
His words "They're coming with the blood skies, with eyes of darkness and weapons that will kill us all".
