Chapter 13: Who to Trust.

I realize that Khalid is actually talking in my head and not with his mouth.

"We can't trust anyone anymore. If the insect man is the same from Tony's timeline then they're already here." Khalid says.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"They have the shard of faces which gives the wielder the ability to take any form or change the form of anything." Khalid comes closer, "We don't know how many more shards they have".

"How many shards did Tony speak of?" I ask.

"Accessing Tony's files, data found, there are five in total, the time shard, shard of faces, shard of memories, shard of strength and the immortality shard." My Nanote replied.

"How are we telepathically linked?" I turn to Khalid.

"The shard of memories grants the user the ability to control the minds of sentient beings as the user pleases. The insect man so far has two shards now as he just recently acquired the shard of memories." My Nanote replied.

"The attempt to send a message through me opened a connection between the channel host and its first contact, in this case being you and me." Khalid says. "You and I should work together Charles, we need to find the earth shard before the army does".

"This is a lot to take in Khalid". I say sitting down.

"We don't have time, if they find it first the mole might steal it and start the war before we're ready." Khalid turns towards the door, "who's there?".

My door wasn't locked all along and Rosita comes in.

"I want in, whatever you guys are planning, and we should inform our teammates too." Rosita says smiling.

"Can she, they be trusted?" Khalid asks.

"We all just met but the more the merrier." I reply.

"But first we need to go through all the phases Khalid." I say.

"I know, we need that basic training for the next two weeks." Khalid replies.

"I'm beginning to like this." Rosita says excitedly.

Khalid smiles and says, "Then we breakout".
