The vision was so real, the children seemed so familiar. The shard, another shard that had not been discovered but buried in my subconscious. Was that a suppressed memory, a phase two memory or an alien memory.
As we head towards the dining area I pull Khalid aside.
"I saw a new shard." I tell him. "The shard of a thousand stars, it gives the wielder the ability to summon the strength of a thousand stars".
"That's new, could that be the earth shard?" He replies.
"It is the sixth shard and maybe our shard." I say.
"Hi guys", Rosita says while punching me playfully. "Can I talk to you, Charles?".
"I'll see you all after lunch in my room, and bring the rest of the team. Remember, be as discreet as possible." Khalid whispers and turns then walks away.
"Have you been avoiding me Charles?" Rosita asks.
"What?, No!, why would I?" I try my best to look shocked even though I know it's a lie.
"Yes you have, I noticed that since our kiss, look I'm sorry if...."
"Don't be..." I cut her short and hold her hand. "I wanted it, probably needed it, hadn't felt so at peace since I, we woke up here Rosita. For once I could think clearly but then I couldn't stand seeing you with Johann so I thought it meant nothing to you".
"Why would that mean nothing to me, Johann just wanted to know how you activated your Nanote, that's all".
"I don't know if we being all emotional is good for us considering the fact that we had our memories suppressed to stop the emotions from clouding out judgement in the first place Rosita".
"I understand, it's fine if we can't be together, but we shouldn't let them stop us, them or their rules. Remember they can't be trusted Charles".
"You're right".
"We could keep it a secret you know".
I smile and look into her eyes, I feel a rush of excitement.
"Woah, what's with the romance, I'm jealous!" Miriam says and we hadn't noticed her, Ayodele and Vladimir come close.
"Oh, it's nothing serious" Rosita replies sharply, "He just needed someone to talk to."
"Guys we have a lot to discuss, but away from the others, I saw a shard and I think I saw my family in my vision".
"Ve too, Ve all saw families in our visions." Vladimir adds.
The others nod their heads.
Just then Alexander climbs a table and shouts. "I believe we have unfinished business mum, so why don't you leave your kids and come here let me give you the training that was suppressed".
"You don't have to bro." Ayodele says.
"Zat clown belongs to the circus, don't interfere guys."Vladimir says charging towards Alexander.
Alexander comes down from the table and narrowly dodges Vladimir's punch and throws a punch straight into Vladimir's abdomen which sends him sprawling on the floor.
Alexander then puts his foot on Vladimir's head and turns to me.
"You're next pretty boy".
