Chapter 10: Phase Two

There's something powerful about motivation.

I had discovered the suit had a digital clock in it and by my calculations we had been there three days already.

Probably the worst three days of our lives but for the first time, I felt ready to fight whatever war that was coming.

I owed my family if I had any, that.

I owed the world that.

In the assembly area the hologram man wasn't there, rather there was a new man. He had a sort of military uniform with stars and medals.

"I'm General Reginald and I'll be handling your briefing from now on." He said.

"What ha...."

"You will only be allowed to speak when spoken to cadet!" He cut Alexander short. "Today we begin phase two, mind resistance. We would test your ability to resist mind infiltration and control. On your feet cadets, suit up and go to the training area." And then he disappeared.

I summoned my Nanote and it materialized around my body much to everyone suprise.

"Woah man! How'd you do that?" Alexander came closer with him team mates. "Who knew you had the brains?" He added and they all laughed.

"Back off." I said.

"Or what?." Alexander said coming much closer, he was taller than me and much more muscular. I could see everyone gathering.

"You heard him Lex, back off." Vladimir said behind Alexander.

"Your Mummy's here again to save you from a little spanking." Alexander said turning to face Vladimir. "Last time I checked we still had unfinished business... Mum."

"Why don't we settle this once and for all once we're done with training for today." Vladimir replied.

"I'll be sure to teach you a few lessons mum, let's go guys." Alexander told his teammates and they walked towards the training room".

Vladimir tapped my shoulder and said "He's just a noise maker".

"Today's training is about mind resistance and I'm Agent Medusa." A lady much curvier than Dimitri and a little shorter but with shorter hair said. She had a sort of head gear on.

"Another damsel, wow." Alexander said rudely and some people laughed.

She turned to him and tapped on a button by the side of the head gear and blue waves shot out towards Alexander and he froze with his eyes turning white.

"What you're seeing is a mind control device, I'm in his head and can control what actions he makes. This is a step forward thanks to you Mr Seven" She said turning to me. "You and Khalid have just given us another shot against whatever is coming.

Just then there was an opening at the end of the hall and someone stepped out.

It was Khalid.
