Skyla shows up almost an hour later after Russ had left.

"I got pizza,coke and the famous cucumber-piss kelp juice!"She announces.

"Oh shut up!"

"Where's Captain sexy?and why are you wearing that?"

I look at myself with a shrug,before settling on the bed.

"Captain sexy's gone and i feel good in these pj shorts and shirt."

Sky had her eyebrows raised, "well dont judge me"I say reaching for the kelp.

"Where's Lex?"I ask her as she went through her stuff,looking for her own pjs.

"He's gone"

"Where?"

"Uuh back to school,i guess"

"Oh yeah?how are you guys doing?"

"Same i guess"

"Same?as in you cool?"

She sighs and stands up,slipping out of her jeans into her pjs.

"We cool,as friends"

"What?"I sit up "i thought you were crazy about him"

"I thought i was,"she says as she slipped into her shirt before settling herself down on the bed,stuffing her face with pizza.
"I discovered it wasnt going to work out anyway"

"Why not?"

"Shit Winter,whats with the interrogation?"she says with a chuckle and an eyeroll. "I like him very much,ok?,i admit it but he's like a better brother i never had and one more screw up,i'll lose him for good."

"Ok,but he was totally checking you out"i say in a whisper.

"He was?"it was more of a statement than a question,and i see her cheeks flush pink.I narrow my eyes at her,making her totally uncomfortable.

"Oh em gee!You got some"i say placing my slice of pizza back in the box.

"Eew gross"

"SkylaA?"

"Ok,maybe i did,but only because....i was in the moment,no strings tho"

"Uh huh"
I say my eyes still narrowed with disbelief.

"Am still on a Mr right hunt ok?as for now,iam just living my life,till i find someone who is totally the opposite of me."

"Ah,like Captain-Sexy and I?"

"Something like that,tho you guys had that spark at first meeting,while i dont see that happening for me."

We spent the whole night,Laughing and eating like crazy.

We slept like babies that night,but the nightmare started the moment I woke up.

"Hey,Hey"Skyla kept shaking my body from side to side,in an attempt to wake me up.

"What?its a friday"i say rolling to my side but that did not stop her.

"Winter?the police are here to talk to you"

"What police?"i ask burrying my head into the pillow for a second before looking up.

And yes two detectives were standing there.A man and a woman,with note pads and a piece of paper,with printed words on it.

"Are you miss Winter Miles?"the woman asks.

"Yes?is everything alright?what's going on?"

"Uh,iam detective Malone and this is my patner detective steward,we would like to ask you a few questions if you dont mind"
