Finding Mr Right.

As the day dragged by friends stopped by to wish me a "happy birthday" and they brought their presents with them,which was ironic,the best present was getting me off this death trap.

Dr.Omari also remembered my birthday,as his patient he brought me flowers and a big box wrapped in a pink wrapping paper and ribbons.

"Thank you,you really didnt have to" I say to him as he set his box with the others.

"No no.."he cuts me off with a wave,"Its your  birthday,you deserve to be happy"with that he exits the room.

"Delivery for Anna!"A delivery man walks in with an outstanding bouquet of flowers and a box in his hand.He sets down the box and hands me a card,looking around for a place to set the flowers.

"Happy birthday A.
     check out the box
              -M-"
I close the card ignoring the box,but then i was curious to see what was in it.

"Gimme that box,"
I quickly tear off the wrapping paper,opening the box.

"What's in it?"Skyla asks propping her body on the bed next to me.I pick up the kelp juice that was neatly placed in the box,lifting it up,and there was a book,a novel.The return of the vampire hunter.
I roll my eyes knowing it was from Micheal.I bite my tongue to suppress my foolish grin.

"Wow"the words come out against my will.

"Thank you",i say to the delivery man.Who replies with a simple nod and disappears into the hallway.

I notice Skyla looking at me and she gasps reaching for my hand.

"Is this what I think it is?"She says staring down at my finger that for some reason had my engagement ring still on.

"Uuh...its just a silly jewelry"I say shrugging her off me.My Love life,was now more of my business,I was done sharing my problems.

"This is a seven grand ring,it cant be just a "silly jewelry ring""

"Fine,its not.He gave it to me?"I say looking up at Russ.

"...and you didnt tell me?when did this happen?"she asks her voice a mixture of excitment and disappointment.

"A few weeks ago,its not a big deal tho"
There was awkward silence,and Russ broke the silence.

"Am I the only one dieing to see what dr.Omari got her?"

"No,You read my mind bro.I was about to say the same thing. " Craig says picking up the big box.
"Now open it"craig says and i was more than shocked to see how excited and eager he was to see what was inside.

"A bag pack?"for the first time i realised Lex was still in the room.He had been silent for about four hours now.

"Maybe there's something inside the bag?"i say opening the first compartment of the petite blue bagpack.A small black box was placed inside,it had chords emerging from it,and i instantly realise that it is a portable heart supporting machine.

"No Way!" I say almost jumping up from the bed.
"He got me an HSM!,god,help me off this thing" I say  pulling at the cords that were connected to my chest.

"Hey?calm down.I think you should wait for him to help you with this thing" Russ says placing his hand on my shoulder.I flip it over seeing instructions.
"Connect the chords to chest.flip switch.support heart"

I quickly remove the cords,connecting the little hsm.I couldnt contain my excitment,but Russ hates him so i had to hold it in still.
I was on my feet,for some reason,feeling great with the little bagpack on my back.
