Wild Truth

We enter the party and i sit on a vacant bar chair and watch people wiggle eachother around.Micheal approaches me with two alcoholic bottles,
"Strong or lite?"
"Both"
I laugh outloud.He stares at me awkwardly."you serious?"
"Yeah,pour me some"
I take it all in in one gulp.
"Come on dance with me"
"Hahaha,no"
"You are a buzzkill you know that?"
"No am not"
We were enterupted by a gathering of people.
"So we are going to play truth or dare and failing to complete your task you sip wine sexly from mark's abs"
"Yeeeaaaah!"
Everyone agreed.
"are you in?"
Micheal turns to look at me.
"Nah!,i'll just sit back and watch!"
I yell above the noice.
"Hey everybody!,Skyla wants to go first!"Micheal yells
" what?no i dont"i whisper
"Dont be such a buzz kill"
"Ok,bring it on son!"
I walk to the centre of the crowd.
"Soo?am here..."
"Ok,truth or dare?"
"TRUTH"
"Is it true you almost slept with Jared carl Caraghan when you were in junior year?and he later ditched you after seeing how you looked naked?"
Oh my Gosh how did she know this??
I look around and everyone was laughing at me,Micheal looked around and then down.
"Well?"
I sigh
"Its....False,i wont lie i was dieing to sleep with him but remembered...Uuum that i was under age,and at thirteen my dad would have easily found out and get him arrested.."
I scan the room for reactions then i continue."He made the story up since i turned him down,there you have it the truth!"
I stand there and out of no where,people close in on me.
"Uum but you dated right?"
"Yeah...barely but guess it doesnt count since he dumped me then and there."
The game was suddenly over since people didnt care anymore.
I see Micheal sipping on a beer,I walk towards him.
"Hie"
"Oh hey"
He was avoiding me indirectly.
"Whats up"
"Nothing"he looks away from me.
I try to sit on the counter but it was too high for my disadvantaged height.Micheal helps me up by the waist.
I smile nervously.he stands between my legs and started asking me about what i said earlier.i find myself wrapping my hands around his shoulders but quickly keep them to my side.
He signals me to go on but am too embarrassed to do so,so he puts down the beer bottle and tangles his fingers between mine,smiles at me,i look away not to give my feelings away.he then places my arms around his neck.we drink and tell jokes all night.
"I gatta pee"i tell him and he helps me down.
"I'll be right here when you get back"
"Ok"i smile and make my way up to the living room,pushing through bodies grinding and kissing each other to the bathroom.i quickly wash my hands after peeing and then i hear the cops,people running up and down the stairs it wasnt long till i heard doors slamming and micheal yelling my name.
"Skyla!?are you ok in there?"
I pull him into the bathroom and close the door.
"The Cops,they .....they are outside"
"Shhh!"one of his hands covering my mouth.
"Are you crazy?if they find us we are going to be arrested."
He kills the light switch and steps into the shower,closing the curtains
"Just trust me"he says.

We stand there till the footsteps  stop,cops raiding rooms,dragging out people ,I shut my eyes and lean my head against micheal's chest till the cars drove away.
"We cant be sure if its clear lets use a window"
Micheal jumps out first then catches me.am pretty sure that hurt bad.
"Sorry"
As for the rest of the way we were chased by dogs till we reached the car.
"This is cleary your fault"i blame him
"How is that?"
"You knew police raid parties and you still wanted me to come with you"
"Let me make it up to you,why dont we go to the bar and grab ourselves decent drinks"
I was already drunk and exhausted
"I wanna go home"
"We are just half an hour away"
From what?the bar or home?

It wasnt long till we pulled up in my driveway.
"I had a great time Kyla"
"I keep telling you,its Skyla...but you know  what?,never mind"
He stares at me awkwardly.
Like predator looking at prey,you know all hungry and all.
"What?"
I shift uncomfortably.
"Nothing"
"You know you can talk to me right?"
Felt good saying that than saying i was just his tuitor.
"Uum yeah."
"Just checking"
There was a sudden wind that brought an awkward silence.
"Soo i gatta go,inside"
I say glancing outside
"Ok,i'll walk you to the door"
He walks around the car and opens the door for me."aaw you're such a gentleman" i say sarcastically.
He walks me up to the door.
"So here we are"
"Yeah,have a good night"
"Yeah,you too."
i lean in and peck him."bye"
I leave him there smiling.
"Bye"i hear him say as i close the door behind me.
What is that sweet smell?
