November 11th, 12:10 am
"Kelly, do you remember what happened?"
Dr. Will Halstead asked Kelly after checking his vitals."A truck hit me when I was driving to work." Kelly said slowly, his voice raspy.
"Yep, you remember. You got pretty beat up, man. Besides a broken femur, dislocated shoulder, concussion, and bruising, you had internal bleeding and a collapsed lung. Today is Tuesday, November 11th, just after midnight." Will informed him.
"I need water."
"I gotcha, I'll get you some. But, just water. We should hold off on actually eating for a little while. But before I go, how bad is your pain on a scale of 1-10?"
"8."
"Alright, I'll strengthen your pain meds and then I'll get you water."
Soon, it was just Kelly and Stella. After helping Kelly drink some water, Stella held his hand.
"I was so worried about you baby. I love you so much." Stella told him.
"I love you too. But haven't you learned yet? I'm too stubborn to die; you'll be stuck with me for awhile, don't worry." Kelly smiled.
"Good."
"How're the munchkins doing? How's Hannah?"
"Matt and Gabby have all the kids. Gabby said Hannah hasn't been to school the past couple days, which is fine. Also, the three munchkins are acting different, according to Gabby."
"Get 'em down here."
"Honey, it's midnight. Maybe later today, okay? Plus, I don't think you're up for it at the moment."
"Maybe you're right. I'm kinda tired."
"Go to sleep, baby. It's okay." Stella assured him, but seeing he'd already fallen asleep, holding her hand.

11:45 am
"How long have you been up?" Kelly asked Stella when he woke up and saw her watching him.
"Couple hours. How're you doing? Are you in pain?"
"Not that much. I'm starving though."
"Alright, Kelly, are you ready to try something to eat?" Will asked as he walked in to check on Kelly.
"Please! Feels like I haven't eaten in 4 days. Wait! I haven't." Kelly joked, a smile on his face.
"You're definitely doing better. I'd say your internal injuries are just about healed up, leaving just the external injuries. Let's see, your bruising will heal, you don't need a sling on your arm anymore, your concussion will heal within a week or two, and you're stuck with a cast on your leg for 8-10 weeks. But, I'd say you can go home tomorrow morning."
"Great!"
After eating some food, Kelly looked to Stella with something obviously on his mind.
"What's wrong, baby?" Stella asked him.
"Can Matt and Gabby being the kids here today? At the very least, Hannah? She's older and she's probably more scared than anything."
"Yeah, I'll call her. They both took off today anyway."
And soon enough, Gabby and Matt entered with all 4 kids. Hannah immediately smiled and ran to Kelly, hugging him as much as she could.
"I thought you died, daddy." She told him, tears unwillingly flowing down her face.
"I'm not going anywhere." Kelly assured her, lifting her onto the bed beside him, keeping her close to him.
"The babies missed you, too. I know because Nathan cried a lot, Lila was fussy, and Ryder wouldn't eat." Hannah told him as Stella picked Lila up out of her carrier.
"Here, lemme hold my other baby girl." Kelly said, holding his arm out for Stella to set Lila on him.
"I think some babies really missed their daddy." Stella said as the baby boys squealed with delight at the sight of their dad.
"I missed all my babies, 7 year olds included." Kelly said, tickling Hannah.
"We really love you, dad." Hannah told him.
"I really love you guys too."
"So, are you okay now, Dad?" Hannah asked.
"As long as I have you munchkins and your mom, I'll always be okay."
