2 years later, July 4th, 10:30 am
Kelly is healed and the kids are growing like crazy. Hannah is 9 and the triplets are 22 months.

"Do we need to take anything for tonight?" Stella asked Kelly as they worked on getting all the kids ready.

"In my dad's exact words: 'Bring your own drinks, beer, wine, juice boxes, whatever. McCutchen's grilling and Miller's got the rest covered.' So, however you take that." Kelly answered as he helped Ryder put on his shirt.

"Okay then. Who are McCutchen and Miller?"

"Old smoke-eaters, just like him. Benny, McCutchen, Miller, and some others all live in their little nonofficial trailer park in the woods. Although, unlike my father, they don't have family. So, it'll just be us, Benny, and some old men, eating food, listening to a few of the old guys singing, and watching fireworks."

"It could be fun." Stella said, not 100% sold on the idea.

"Maybe. I know there's better ways we could spend the Fourth, but I got guilt-tripped into accepting the invite."

"We'll make the best of it." Stella assured him as she fixed Lila's hair.

"This is where Grandpa Benny lives?" Hannah asked as Kelly parked the van outside a trailer in the woods.

"Yep. Him and about 12 of his old friends all live out here. Now, I want you all on your best behavior today. Understand?"

"Dad, we're always on our best behavior." Hannah said, putting her arms around Lila and Nathan, making Kelly and Stella laugh.

"I mean it, now come on, let's go have fun." Kelly said, putting the keys in his pocket and opening the door to get out the kids.

As they were unloading, Benny approached them.

"Hey! I didn't think you were going to show up." Benny told Kelly, giving him a quick hug.

"Why wouldn't we show up? I told you we'd be here."

"You said 12:30, its quarter to 1."

"Pops, I've got 4 kids. We run late sometimes."

"I get it, I get it. Hey, how about you guys get unpacked over under the tent and we can fish in the river for a little while."

"Yeah, alright."

Benny walked away and Kelly looked to Stella and took a deep breath. "Oh, boy. It's going to be a long day."

"Stay positive

"Stay positive." Stella mumbled to him as she pointed the kids towards the large tent.

"Yeah, positive." Kelly mumbled, grabbing the cooler before following his family over under the tent.

After setting everything down and getting situated, they all joined Benny and his buddies by the river.

"You kids ever fished before?" Benny asked his grandkids.

"A few times, but not recently." Hannah answered.

"You haven't taken the kids fishing recently?" Benny asked Kelly.

"Life is kinda busy right now." Kelly defended.

"Always an excuse. Hey, Hannah, cast this line out for me and I'll show you kids how to fish."
