10:00 pm, May 24th, Severide house
"Hey Kel. How'd it go?" Gabby asked when he walked into the living room.
"Amazing. She is the one, I know it." Kelly said as he sat on the couch.
"Easy there, tiger. You went on one date together." Matt reminded him.
"True, but think of how much time we've spent together from the firehouse and Molly's. I think it's meant to be."
"Okay then. We're gonna go. Oh and uh, your kitchen smells strongly of spaghetti sauce. Don't be alarmed." Gabby told him.
"Why?"
"I told Hannah that when you throw spaghetti and it sticks to the wall, it's cooked all the way. She tried it after I put the sauce on the noodles and it spiraled. But I cleaned it, don't worry."
Kelly laughed. "It's okay, I don't care. Thanks for watching her."
"No problem."
After Matt and Gabby left, Kelly watched the highlights of the Cubs game and drank a beer. When he was done, he shut off the lights and locked the door and went to check on Hannah.
When he opened her door, he saw her sitting in bed with a flashlight on.
"Hannah, honey, what're you doing?" Kelly asked, sitting on her bed next to her.
"Waiting for you to check for monsters." Hannah told him.
"Hannie, monsters are not real."
"I know."
"If you know, why are you still up?"
"I wanna make sure you make sure there aren't any monsters."
Kelly chuckled. "I can prove to you monsters aren't real."
"How?"
"Watch this. HEY MONSTERS, YOU ALL SUCK! IF YOU WANNA PROVE ME WRONG, COME OUT AND PUNCH ME IN THE FACE!" Kelly yelled, fear in Hannah's eyes as she clutched onto Kelly's arm. The two waited for a minute before Hannah released his arm.
"So they really aren't real?" Hannah wondered aloud.
"They really aren't. Nothing to be afraid of."
"Guess you're right. How was your date?"
"It was fantastic."
"Good. You don't work tomorrow, do you?"
"Nope. What do you wanna do, princess?"
Hannah thought for a second. "I think we should go to the playground. And take Stella with us."
"You think so?"
"Yep!"
"We'll see about that."

"Hey, Dad and Stella, watch me do the monkey bars!" Hannah called to the two adults as they sat on a bench watching her play.
"Okay, go ahead. We're watching!" Kelly called to her.
The two watched as she crossed the bars before she celebrated her accomplishment.
"Good job, Hannah!" They both called.
"Hey, I'm gonna go buy a water bottle from that vending machine. Keep an eye on Hannah for me?" Kelly asked Stella.
"No, I'll just walk away and let her fall from the monkey bars." Stella said sarcastically. "Of course I'll watch her!"
Kelly laughed and walked to the vending machine and Stella went and found Hannah.
"Stella, watch me do the rock wall!" Hannah called, Stella following her to the rock wall to make sure she wouldn't fall.
Hannah got to the top and looked around. "Hey, I found my dad!" She giggled. "He hit the vending machine to make a water fall out."
"Oh yeah? I'm gonna join you." Stella said, climbing up the wall and standing beside Hannah. "Good view up here."
"Yeah. And I can keep an eye on my dad. I don't want him getting lost."
"That's responsible of you. Does he tend to wander off?"
"Like a lost dog."
The two laughed together. "You sure love your daddy, don't you?"
"Of course! He's my favorite person in the whole world!"
