Statue

60 16 6

Encased in a stone coffin
Hollow but full
Had enough of just sitting there.
Determined to move.

But you can't
You're bound by granite
To the ground which you so despised
Once upon a time

Aren't you tired of standing?
Motionless.
Eyes that can't see,
Ears that can't hear,
A mouth that can't speak
Fingers that cannot feel.

Silently watching the world.

There are those who pour out their troubles
To a still body who cannot listen
There is no one there

Just letting all their sorrows out.

A statue, the carrier of misfortunes
Weighed down with all the tears shed in your hands
You never asked for this.

Everyone screams and cries in front of you
Putting on a brave face for everyone else
What makes you so special?

A head that cannot think.
No one hears and no one judges.

Wouldn't it be weird if statues were sentient?

What if statues are people turned into stone?!

Just kidding, of course. But seriously... o.O
