Lying in my bed at night
Intriguing
Haunting
Filtering through my window
Filling my head with music
I've always wondered where it comes from.
It's peculiar, really
Because whenever it plays
I realize that I can't move.
Sure, I can open my eyes,
But other than that, I'm paralyzed,
Stuck in between sleep and the light of day,
Help me, someone, I swear I can feel my body start to decay,
I swear like I feel like I'm going to die,
But I don't.
I'm relieved, but at the same time a lingering regret fills me
The melody never finished.
It's always there, and it always plays,
And with it
I'll never see the light of day because
It never stops.

This poem was actually about sleep paralysis. Could you tell??
I've never actually experienced it myself, but it sounds pretty scary! o.O
