I've never felt like this before
Filled with a desire for you to know that I'm something more
Than a naive little girl
With dreams that drop like flies.
I have watched the setting sun
Seen the clouds panic and run
From the stars imploding the sky.
I have tried to do so many things
So your indifferent gaze stabs me in the chest, oh, how it stings
I reach out
But you walk away
And I fall into the endless depths
Foolishly lead astray.
I never know the right thing to do and say
Until it's too late
And all that is left is an echo
An echo, laughing back at me.
The bitterness drips from my mind through my chest
And until you acknowledge me, I will never rest
I haunt the streets,
Resenting,
But my heart is forever aching.
