When I made you smile

Just stay awhile.
Because I set off a ticking time bomb
Tell me what I did wrong
You don't know how long I'd walk
How fast I'd talk
If it would bring us closer.
In a thousand years, that's the song I'll be singing
Fills my ears with ringing
Of countless memories.
But that's not now,
So every day let's try something new
Pretend I'm hopelessly devoted to you
Puppy love is kind of my thing
I'll show you my past
And it's not exactly vast
But maybe it'll make you stay.
These are the crossroads, where we go our separate ways
These are the broken roads where loveless people stray
These are the lonely roads where I
Stroll alone.
We still have a year,
So let's shed every tear,
And do everything sad when we come to it.
Because there's no reason to ruin the days
Where I walk around in a happy daze
And our bond can't ever be fazed.
You see, I'm still not really sure what you are to me
An acquaintance? An enemy? A crush or a friend?
Lend me your heart
So I can see how you feel
Waiting for my own to reveal
How I really think of you.
It feels like a dream
Whenever I walk
And talk
With you.
And when you have to go, I know
I'll never be the same
Watch the snow
See it melt and flow
Down and around
The world
Where will you go?
What will you be?
And how long will it take to forget me?
No matter how hard I try
I keep thinking these thoughts
So please
Just remind me to take my time.
