Trigger warning: choking

"Did Tyler tell you" Patrick asked, cuddling himself closer on Pete's chest; his fedora fell off his head in the process.

"Tell me what?" Pete's brows furrowed. He went through everything that had happened earlier today when he was walking home from school with Brendon and Tyler. No mention of Patrick came to mind.

"Wait" Patrick sat up "He told you nothing?"

Pete suddenly started to see where this was going. Patrick's skin started getting red and dirtied, any squishiness his face held disappeared. His eyes started turning into a golden-red color. His blonde hair darkened only a little. He panted in rage.

"Patty, baby" Pete stood up off the bed "Honey, everything will be alright"

But it was too late. Patrick jumped out Pete's fortunately opened window and made his way into the nearest forest; where his senses led him. Pete watched him go, cursing under his breath. Sometimes, he wished he was still a vampire so he could catch Patrick when these episodes happen.

...

"Walk with me Tyler"

Tyler stumbled a little as he stood up, quick to catch up with Jenna's fast pace. He straightened his shirt and his mind, trying to impress her; even though he didn't know why did he want to impress her.

"What do you want to ask me, Tyler?"

Tyler was shook by the fact she knew he had a question swimming in the back of his mind, but decided against questioning it "I- I can't believe you're alive"

Jenna snorted quietly, stopping in place "How nice of you Tyler. I thought you loved me, you know?"

Tyler's eyes popped in alert after hearing those words "I- I do love you! I swear, I do!"

Jenna smiled, proceeding her walk "Good"

"B- But Mr Peters killed you" Tyler mumbled, more to himself than her "I held you, I avenged you"

"If Mr Peters killed me, would I be standing here with you, Tyler?!" Jenna screamed, making Tyler stumble backwards in slight fear.

"I'm sorry, Jenna, I-"

"Shh, Tyler" Jenna whispered, smiling yet again; only to fuel Tyler's confusion. She grabbed his hand suddenly. He didn't even flinch at the touch of his ice-cold skin, which made him frown.

Then again, Jenna's hand wasn't as warm as Tyler remembered. He couldn't even smell her blood. He was confused, even scared honestly.

"Where are we going?" Tyler asked, fingers holding Jenna's hand carefully.

Jenna sighed "Some place nice, don't worry. We'll be happy. Together"

Tyler gulped.

Suddenly, a loud roar was heard somewhere in the forest. Both Tyler and Jenna stopped walking, letting go of each other's hands. They searched for the source of the angry sound, not daring to move. Tyler wanted to protect Jenna of whatever was to come.
