Tyler slowly approached the oak, seeing Josh sitting underneath it. Josh went to stand up, but Tyler rose his hand slightly to gesture him to stay down. Once on a one foot distance, Tyler sat down in front of Josh. They smiled at each other; Josh blushed and looked down in embarrassment.

"Okay" Josh began, clearing his throat "You probably just want me to start talking, right?"

Tyler gave a simple nod.

Josh sighed, closing his eyes momentarily before he took the job of staring at Tyler beautiful new eyes "You're correct, a vampire becomes human once they confess love to their soulmate and when they get loved back. But you did run, didn't you? You ran like a vampire. Basically, admitting to any form of affection to your soulmate makes you human. But anything less than true love only makes you part human. Which means, as we told each other that we like each other, you're only part human. Your fangs are gone, so I'm assuming you don't have to feed on blood anymore. I thi-"

"I love you, Josh" Tyler cut him off.

Don't panic just yet, Tyler actually thought these words through.

Now, how much his "thinking is worth"...

Anyways, Tyler had this thought - if he becomes fully human, the men won't be after them anymore. They want a vampire - a child - and if he's not once they'll stop running after them. The boys will be free, they'll all live normal lives. Now, Josh just needs to say he loves Tyler back.

"Wh- What are you doing?" Josh asked, frowning in confusion.

"I love you" Tyler repeated "Josh, I love you"

Josh's mouth hung slightly agape. In one quick motion, Tyler jumped onto the older boy and thus pushed him down onto his back. Tyler got what he aimed for - Josh's chapped lips. He kissed Josh with a passion he didn't even know existed within him. Josh couldn't keep himself from kissing back, just as heated.

"I love you" Tyler mumbled into Josh's mouth, continuing to kiss the redhead. He teased atop the boy's lips with his tongue, but they didn't take it as far. When Tyler finally felt Josh wanting to speak, he moved away the slightest bit.

"I love you too" Josh said through a pant.

Bingo.

Tyler smiled ever so widely. Yes, this may have been a forced "I love you", but at least they've both said it now. Tyler felt no regrets nor guilt. Josh gasped when he realized what he just said.

Tyler took in a deep breath. He could feel himself changing. It was an indescribable feeling. It was like losing power, but gaining freedom. He felt reborn, like a new man. He closed his eyes. He took a few moments to enjoy the sound of nothing but a few silent leaves on the trees that shook with the spring breeze; to enjoy the smell of nothing but Josh's hair shampoo. He opened his eyes, to look at the world the way it's supposed to be seen, not with all the details included. Everything was now so beautiful.

He moved off of Josh, standing up tall. He put his hand out to help Josh stand up as well. A moment or two later, Josh was on his feet. Tyler smiled at him, loving how gorgeous Josh looks.
