Julian's POV
"I'm very sorry, your husband passed Mrs. Hemingway"
"You need to try to not think about your dad anymore."
"I keep trying to give you support and you just push me away, what's wrong with you?"
"I know dad isn't here anymore, but I feel like he is."
"They mentioned you and I in the will. I didn't hear quite what they said though."
"I can't believe that we're never going to see him again...."
"Stop shutting people out, let us in for once! We both know how you feel!"
"Its ok, it gets better. The Pain will ease. Just give it time."
"I know you're sad but it's frustrating me. Please just forget. It IS your choice!"
I wake up and cough.
What happened?
I look around. My surroundings consist of concrete walls and floors, and iron bars taking the place for one of the walls. I see my previously white tank top, stained with blood. My breathing gets shaky and heavier.
"Hello?" I hear
"Madison?"
"Julian? What happened?" she asks
"Uh, I don't know!"
"Well! I see you two girls are awake!" I hear
That Voice..... "You can't escape from me Julian"
I look up to see the face of this woman. She's wearing an unusual outfit. A business type dress in red. Her Brown hair pulled neatly into a bun. She's holding a folder in her hand. I stay silent and pull myself onto my knees.
"Hmm. Well! I'm guessing you both know why you're here!" she says
"No, so why the heck are we here?" Maddie says
"Oh, I'm sure you know. I want the password and all that was mentioned in the will was that it's connected with you two." she says
"What password?"
"The password that lets me access that family fortune of yours." she chirps
Family Fortune?
"You've got the wrong girls. We don t have any fortune"
"Oh dear, it seems your mother never told you." she says
"Told....Me.......What?"
"You don't think your father's death was really an accident, do you?" she says
"What do you mean?"
"You're whole family has been lying to you Julian. Prepare for the biggest shock of your life."
I sit with a shocked expression.
