this oneshot may turn into either a twoshot or will be extremely long, it depends on how much i decide to write. all i know is that it's slow paced and calm, except for one part where it gets very heated. i tried.

2D stared out the small window dividing his underwater room from the outside world, desperately wishing to be freed from his prison. It'd been months or even more since he'd been allowed to move on his own free will -- of course, he'd been allowed to roam the beach every now and then at one point, but now it was an everyday thing. Much to his dismay, though, he'd been kidnapped and transported to this beach made entirely out of plastic. He'd been happy to be away from anything that had to do with Gorillaz, but that was ruined by Murdoc.

Murdoc was the type of person to do exactly that -- kidnap a person and force them to sing on an album; he was just that evilly morbid and disgraceful. That's just what had happened: 2D had been forced to sing on an album the bassist had written. In fact, the bluenette was the only actual member besides Murdoc. The bassist had recruited a machine and robot to replace Russel and Noodle. The worst part about this whole thing was the fact that the robot was basically a clone of Noodle -- it had every aspect of Noodle put into its Cyborg body, which was unnerving and despicable, to say the least.

2D looked down at his hands, which held a small orange container, filled with tiny red and blue capsules -- his painkillers. They weren't as needed as they'd usually be, as he'd been left alone, but it'd still be nice to have some, even for the minor headache he had. He unscrewed the bottle and poured three into his hand, then proceeded to swallow each one dry. They weren't tablets, so they wouldn't melt on his tongue and leave a bad taste in his mouth for days.

Meanwhile, Murdoc was up on the balcony that overlooked the ocean. Below, he could see the rest of the beach. It was painted a bright pink and was honestly the ugliest shade of bright pink you could imagine, but that hadn't stopped him and now he regretted it. He also slightly regretted kidnapping 2D and even more so making Noodle film the El Mañana music video, causing her to go missing. He had many regrets in his life, but there were also things he felt were a good thing, such as kidnapping the singer. Sure, he was forcing him to do something he didn't want to do, but Murdoc figured that it was for the best.

He let his hands rest on the railing and sighed, finding himself lost in thought. Immediately, his thought process went to 2D. Huh, that was strange. Why would he be thinking about the bloke? He picked the bottle of vodka up off of the chair beside him and took a drink, wanting to forget. The clear liquid burned as it went down his throat, but he felt as if he were used to it by now.

Strangely, thoughts of the singer never subsided and Murdoc only thought about him more. He set the bottle down after finishing it and walked inside, but not before checking the horizon for the Black Clouds. They were out to get him, and luckily were nowhere near. As he was in the studio, he walked over to his bass and picked it up.

He began to play it after sitting on a stool, a familiar tune coming through the speakers. It was hard to forget the infamous bass line for Feel Good Inc, a song that'd become a fan favorite and one of their most popular songs. It was fairly easy to play, but not that fun.

Murdoc could hear soft footsteps, a sign that it wasn't Cyborg. There was a light knock on the door and the bassist cleared his throat. "Come in," he said, loud enough for the bluenette to hear and open the door. "What do you want?" Murdoc question, his voice calm. "I-I don't actually know. I was bored and I wanted somethin' to do," 2D said and sat cross-legged on the floor. "Oh...well, uh, do whatever, then. I'm busy," he stated and began to play the same thing, but was stopped almost immediately by him singing. It was like liquid gold being poured at large amounts into his ears. Of course, this was a normal reaction to 2D's singing.
