I woke up, before the girls, in the foul-smelling place. I awoke to a ping of my watch. Looking at it, I saw a breaking news notification. Huh...

Wait... I'm wanted by the government?! I huridlely crawled over to Fawn and Sage. I shook both of their shoulders.

"Girls! We are all wanted by the government! And there is more of us!" I whisper-shout at them. Fawn, sat up quickly, being she was a light sleeper. Sage, wasn't so much.

"Sage! Wake up!" I whisper-shout, again. She groaned.

"It's too early," she drowsily said. Ugh! We don't have any water to wake her up...

"Sage, if you don't get up, I will spit in your face!" I say, as a last resort. She opened her eyes, and sat up.

"Ew! Please don't! Living in a dumpster is nasty enough!" She nearly yells at me. Fawn and I both shush her at the same time, scared of anyone hearing us. She glared at us.

"So what's the fuss?" Sage mimicked my whisper-shout. I let her read my watch. She looked horrified.

"We need to get rid of those right now! The government can track them!" Sage hurriedly said. "We can't stay here anymore. Grab your backpacks and leave your watches. We are on the run again!" She panicked. I quickly snapped off my watch, and Fawn took hers off too, but didn't throw it on the ground like I did.

"What are you doing?!" I ask Fawn. She grins evilly at me.

"Leaving a little, message, for whoever finds it." I glance over it, and it read,

To whomever it concerns. You have found the watch of Fawn Garcia. A girl on the run. But, if you are reading this, that means I am already one step ahead of you. You thought it would be easy? To catch me? Hide and seek is my favorite game. And if you're reading this, then I am winning.
And I am also not only one step, but several miles ahead of you.

Good luck.

You're going to need it.

I joined in on her evil grin, and set it carefully on the ground.

And with that, Sage Fawn and I were off.

To go meet some more runaways.
