I woke up to Aero's scream.
Aero! Knowing Aero, I knew he never screams, unless something was wrong. I put my finger to my mouth, and looked at both Robyn and Sage, who were now sitting up, looking scared, and I motioned for them to be quiet. They nodded. I want all evidence of us being here to disappear, except Aero. Just liked I hoped, Aero and my backpacks that were laying on the floor, turned invisible, just like Robyn, Sage, all our food, and me. I walked to go up the stairs, and heard heavy footsteps. I backed down, just as the footsteps neared the squeaky steps. Two large men, in black jackets that's said UFA on the backs, came down the stairs, each of them holding one of Aero's limp arms. Oh my gosh, Aero! I almost gasped in horror, but contained myself. It was hard to see my best friend, head hanging down, feet following him, being dragged unconsciously to the door. I took a step to try and punch one of them in the face, before realizing I'm no match for two buff, trained, grown men. They dragged Aero, with such little effort to the door. They opened it, and they were out of sight. Not my Aero... not my favorite person.... Robyn and Sage reappeared, at my will. I stayed invisible.
"Fawn?" Sage called out.
"Here." I softly replied. The reason I stayed invisible, is because I didn't want them to see me cry. I'm so weak. What's the point of powers, if you can't use them to save your best friend?
Why am I the one with powers, anyways? What did I do to deserve them? Nothing. Aero should be the one with powers, maybe if he did, he wouldn't be in this situation. He doesn't deserve to be knocked out, and kidnapped by the government. He deserves the powers, not me. Aero always knows how to make everyone laugh, and he stands up for people. All the time, if he sees someone getting picked on, he goes and defends them. Sure, sometimes he's been punched in result, and maybe he's punched back, but he was sticking up for people. Me? I don't have many friends. Aero. Sage. Robyn- maybe. Xena. Mom and dad. Aero's siblings. They are my friends, and with Aero so many people silently admire him- and he doesn't even know it. I've been told I'm lucky to have him as a friend. Maybe he didn't get so lucky to have me.
Maybe it's not too late to save him.
"I'm going to get Aero." I inturupt whatever was being said, that I wasn't listening to.
"Fawn, listen to me," Sage started, looking sort of in my direction. Or rather- where I used to be standing. I was already on my way to the door.
"No. You listen to me." I turn visible and face her. "I'm going to save Aero, or die trying. He is my life and soul, and they are going to learn, that it's not that easy to take us."
I turned invisible, and walked out the door.
They called out for me, and I didn't listen.
I was going to find my favorite.
And no one was going to stop me.
