I didn't get to him.
I was too late.
Even after I sprinted, all the way, following their tracks, to a cluster of bushes. The place, there the hover car was hidden. The place where all the tracks disappeared.
I broke down, then and there.
In the place where my favorite was taken from me.
I should probably find Robyn and Sage. I thought, after losing track of time. I followed the tracks, back to the house we were staying in. I opened the door, and stepped in.
"Who's there?" Sage asked shakily. Sage was aiming her gun at the door, and Robyn was aiming her bow and arrow. Aero... I reappeared, and started crying again. Sage quickly lowered the gun, and hugged me.
"It's okay, Fawn." She whispered soothingly into my ear. "Like you said- we are going to find him. Or die trying." I snuggled into her hug, and reassuring words of comfort. Robyn shifted uncomfortably.
"Sorry to cut this short- but we should probably go. Before anyone else finds us. And maybe it's best if we are all invisible," Robyn suggested, not making eye contact with me or Sage.
"She's right," I mumbled. Sage nodded, and handed me and Robyn each a can of cold soup, and a carrot. Sage put on Aero's black backpack, and after I put on my identical one. I grabbed Robyn's hand, and she tried to jerk it away.
"If we want to stay together, we are going to have to either hold hands, or each other's shoulders. Your choice," Robyn nodded, and I took Sage's hand. I willed us to be invisible, and we disappeared. Sage opened the door, and Robyn and I followed her, Robyn shutting it after us. Then an idea occored to me.
"They were hiding the hovercar in some bushes." I whisper.
"So?" Robyn whispered back.
"So there is no way they only stationed one pair of men after us, in one house, the very one we were staying in. They are probably stationed in every old house." I explain.
"And?" Sage whispered. Are they really that thick?
"And, they had to arrive here in something. Let's go steal a hovercar." I explain simply, still whispering. It was silence, and I couldn't see them, so I couldn't try and predict what they were thinking.
"I think that's a great idea" to my surprise, Robyn told me. I smiled slightly, since the first time Aero was kidnapped. I actually got her to comment me. We made our way, to a fairly large clump of bushes. Nothing. After about fifteen or so more bush clumps, we finnaly found one. And the keys are in ignition, in case of an emergency get away.
Well, we might actually have a chance...
Aero, here we come.
