"What?!" I whisper-exclaim. How can Fawn turn invisible?! How is that even possible?! She looked down, at her feet. Or- the dog she was hiding in her jacket?!

We are on the run from the government, and we send Fawn in town with ONE job, and she picks up a puppy?! I sighed, knowing what a very Fawn-like thing this was to do. I have to admit-she is kinda cute...

"I only got a little puppy... look how cute she is!" Fawn stopped playing with the energetic puppy, and held her up to face me. She squirmed in Fawn's hands.

"I'm not talking about the puppy- I'm talking about your invisibility powers!" I exclaim. We started walking to the nearest old town, where our jeep was parked. We were far enough away, to not have to whisper.

"Yeah, still figuring that out..." Fawn remarked distractedly. Her attention was back on the little dog. Six years of friendship overshadowed by half an hour with a puppy.

"Maybe we should name her... Ellie?" Fawn suggested. "Oh! How about Bailey?!" Sage added. "Come on Aero, there has to be some name you like?" Fawn asked. Hmmm... I thought, and thought.

"Xena?" I offered, thinking back to my first pet. Sure, Xena was a goldfish, but this puppy looks like a Xena...

"Yes!" Fawn said excitedly.

"Xena! Xena-lou-who! Hiiiii baby!" Fawn cooed as she cradled our new dog- Xena. I smiled, and pet Xena's head a couple times. Well... I guess a puppy isn't that bad... wait! Focus! Fawn has SUPERPOWERS, and you're distracted by a dog!

"Fawn! Turn invisable!" I say. She bites her lip, and hands Sage Xena, who gladly takes the wiggly puppy. Fawn scrunched her face in concentration, and ever so slowly faded away.

"Wow!" I exclaim. Wait! I have an idea!

"Take my hand, for a moment," I suggest, as I thrust my hand in her general direction. She grasped it, and I looked down expectantly. Still visible?! I sighed in disappointment. Welp- it was worth a shot.

Fawn slowly reappeared. "I'm sorry Aero. Im sure you can do something way cooler than turn invisible though!" Fawn tried to enlighten me.

"No, I'm happy! You can turn invisible! That's seriously gonna be so helpful!" I responded. Sage looked at me sympathetically. I could tell she didn't mind, but knew I was slightly jealous. She handed me now sleeping Xena. I cradled her like a baby. Aweee... I felt in a better mood.

We got to the old town, and Xena seemed to get cuter by the minute. We made it back to the jeep, and got our stuff, and decided to make camp in an abandoned house. Fawn set the food she got on the counter, and she and I decided to go find some rope to make Xena a leash, while Sage stayed back and watched Xena and prepared a meal. We were looking along old shops when we heard one word.

"Freeze,"
