We drove away from the abandoned store, planning the entire way. I'm gonna DIE. Why did we decide to give me a trench coat?! In June! Our plan- was simple. I was to go into a store, and steal some food, because why not benefit from this, right?! If anyone asked, I told them my name, then blend into the abundance of people crowding the sidewalks.

Simple.

Or at least- it was supposed to be.

I hugged Sage and Aero, and ajusted my sunglasses, as I set off to the big city. After climbing out of the bushes Aero and Sage were hiding in- of course. Here I go, I thought, as I finnaly set foot of the sidewalks. Woah. It reminded me of "Old New York Area". People we everywhere. Blending in might be a little easier than I thought. I began for my search for a grocery store, in this downtown area. Really- anywhere with food. Someone grabbed my shoulder.

"Little girly.." said an old man, with a stringy beard holding my shoulder. "Ya don' wanna be alone in this big ol' city, now do yeh?" I gulped.
"I- I'm not a-alone" I stutter. "Just- v-visiting my gr- grandma," visiting grandma?! Who are you, little red riding hood?! I heard a yelp of some sort, and noticed a box of puppies sitting by his feet. My heart melted.

"Oh my gosh!" I exclaim. I bent to my knees and picked one up. The one I picked up was a girl, with black fur and brown fur on her paws, nose, cheeks, and eyebrows. I've always wanted a puppy! No! Fawn, stick to the plan... No matter how many times I mentally scolded myself, I could not put her down.

"I'll trade you that hat on your head, for that puppy in your hands," he offered.

He was wearing that sweaty old hat, and I was holding a cute little puppy. Win win.

"Oh! By the way, she is a Rotweiler! Have fun with that!"  Oh trust me- I will.

I was ecstatic.

"Aren't you the cutest puppy on earth?! Yes you areeee," I cooed. She licked my face in response. I was so distracted, I almost forgot about the plan. Right! Plan! The only difference, is you have a sidekick! I looked at her and melted all over again. I nuzzled her face, and put her in my trench coat, with her head sticking out. I quickly found a store.

Oh no... oh no... this is not a good idea... I can't steal! Fawn! Get a grip of yourself! The government is already hunting you! But... I need food... Aero and Sage need food... I walked over to one of the self checkout lanes, ah ha! Exactly what I was looking for! I pulled a receipt out of the little trash bin, and scanned it over. Great! Plenty of food on here, and some extra stuff, but that's okay!

I only grabbed the stuff on the list, resisting the urge to go down the candy aisle. After I got all the things on there, I went to self checkout. I scanned them all, bagged them, quickly prayed that it would work, and walked to the doors. Beep beep beep, an alarm went off, I froze. A security guard came to me. I handed him my receipt, and faked a couple tears.

"Please, just hurry. My mommy is sick and-" I faked a sob, and let more fake tears fall, "she's hurting, and asked me to do her shopping, and she's just really sick," I started fake crying right then and there. He quickly gazed over my stuff, and my receipt, and handed it back to me. I stared him straight in the eye.

"She's sick of your government. And I am too." I said, as I spat in his face and sprinted out, faster than I had ever sprinted in my life.

Blend in, blend in, gosh dangit! I cursed myself for being so small and slow. I heard him yell, "stop her!" And "it's Fawn Garcia!" After me. Awe shoot. I sprinted around a corner, and into an alleyway. I quickly slid into a box, facing open into the back of the alley. I heard footsteps follow me.

"We know you're in here, so come out before we make you!" I could feel that my puppy was on the verge of whining. I soothingly stroaked her fur, and she calmed a little. I sure didn't.

Please don't let them see me- I don't want to die, I despratly thought as footsteps neared my box. I cradled that soft ball of fur, and waited to be arrested as the security guard looked around the corner of my hiding place. He cursed.

"I swear, I saw her run in here! Check everywhere in the city- she can't have run far!"

Wait- What?! How am I not being arrested?! I waited for the people chasing me, to leave before I did. That was close... It was probably too dark for him to see me. I walked out, and a picture from the stores security footage of me, was already plastered on the electronic billboards all around the city. A message saying: this dangerous and wanted criminal was seen only minutes ago in this very town. Find her and receive reward.

Well thats low, making an eleven year old wanted for- what?! Being born one too many times?!

I cautiously got out of the alley, while everyone was distracted. I ran down the sidewalk, and got to the edge of the city to my surprise- no trouble whatsoever. Huh. That's weird.

I came to the bushes, where I knew Sage and Aero were hiding, and waiting for me.

"Where is she?! She's starting to worry me, let's go save her!" Aero whispered to Sage.

"No! She is fine! Just taking her time like we told her to, we will wait a little longer before anything like that,"  Sage argued, still whispering. I walked around the bushes, until I could see them bicker.

"Guys- I'm back with food, and a big surprise!" I whisper shout. They look at me.

"Well come in then- we haven't got all day!" Aero whisper shouts. Uh..?

"What are you talking about?! I'm right here!" I whisper yell. Then they gasped at the same time.

"Fawn, you can turn invisible!"
