- 1991 -

Detective Sam runs towards Detective Hazim who is waiting for him infront of the double - storey terrace house. Detective Sam shook his head, a sign he didn't manage to catch the suspect. There are a few police cars parked infront of the house. The police officers are doing their job. The neighbours also want to take a look around the crime scene. Busybodies.

Two police officers, one man and one woman is interrogating a witness who is an old woman; Zarith's next door neighbour. Hajiq is busy writing notes about what the witness is saying. Raihana on the other hand, is busy interrogating the witness with questions about last night.

Detective Sam and Detective Hazim step inside the house and saw two bodies being carried out into the ambulance. Their focus is now at the bedroom upstairs, where the crime happened. They both stand infront of the door to the bedroom. Every inch is observed. A bed with white sheets is situated right infront of the door. A part of the sheets and pillows have dried blood stains on it. At the right side is a 6-feet wardrobe and a mirror. The left side is the window, where the suspect escaped from.

Detective Sam tried to replay what happened when he first saw the suspect; the murderer is climbing out the window. Two bodies, one man and one woman is left on the floor without any piece of clothing. Their clothes are seen on the floor near the wardrobe. A knife who the killer used to kill them both is left at the other side of the bed. What's sure that knife is blood-coated.

"What lead do you have, Hazim?" asked Detective Sam.

"Just now when you leaped out the window, I observed the dead bodies. In my prediction, they're dead about 9 to 10 hours ago. There's a bruise on the head and a stab cut on the chest. A wallet was found beside the victims, but it's picked up as evidence. I believe it was the suspect's. Must have fall off his pocket when he's struggling." explained Detective Hazim. "The bruise on the head might come from when he and the killer are struggling. But it can probably be hit with something very hard, because when I looked around, the room was pretty tidy. No actual signs of struggling."

"Possible, if the victims haven't slept yet. Or they have slept but the killer woke them up before killing them. If it's true, the killer's brave, or dumb." said Detective Sam.

"The killer was just about to escape when we arrived?"

"Maybe he fainted after struggling. He then woke up after we knocked on the door."

"Murder weapon?"

"It's confirmed, the knife at the kitchen. The suspect searched around the drawers for a knife and forgot to close them back."

"There are also no signs if a break-in, so.."

Tuk, tuk, tuk.

The door is knocked. Detective Hazim and Detective Sam looked behind them.

"Sir, sorry for interrupting." Inspector Hajiq and Inspector Raihana is standing infront of the door.

"Hey, didn't we said you don't have ti use 'Sir's with us?" told Detective Hazim.

"Em.. Hazim."

"Yes, like that. Any leads?"

"OK, Hazim." Inspector Hajiq continued his disrupted conversation. "We got the information about the suspect. His name is Muhammad Zarith. Actually, this is his house. He's the CEO of Engine And Automotive Development Sdn Bhd. Just a few months after he became the new CEO."

"Victims?"

"Siti Aisyah and Haziq Imran. Aisyah is the daughter of the former CEO of the company and also Zarith's wife. Haziq on the other hand is Zarith's worker." answered Inspector Raihana.
