"So.. now what?" asked Fareez.
"What, what?" Intan asked Fareez back. During that time, her USA Fried Rice is served by the waiter. They're currently having lunch together.
"Ughhh.. It's tonight! The semifinals."
"I don't know. Coach?" Intan and Fareez looked at Detective Hazim. Ainin also glared at him while digging in into her meal.
"Actually, I wanted to discuss this issue with you guys since this morning, but, shouldn't we wait for Syahmi?" Detective Hazim wipes his black glasses using a tissue.
"Yeah. Where's Syahmi? Why is he so late?" asked Intan. "Our hotel is not even that far.."
"Wanna know why? Asked this guy right here." Ainin pointed at Fareez.
"What? Me?" Fareez tried to hold in his laughter.
"Hey, you're the one who wants to prank him in the first place!" replied Ainin.
At that time, Detective Hazim facepalmed himself. Intan on the other hand glared at both of them.
"Guys, guys. I just want to know about Syahmi. Not listening to you guys fighting."
"We're not gonna fight, we're gonna debate." replied Fareez.
"Yeah." Ainin took out her stylish glasses. "Debate."
And they start debating like crazy. Detective Hazim and Intan couldn't understand a word they're saying. Detective Hazim decided to just sip onto his coffee while Intan decided to take a walk around the shop.
"Guys can you stop?" asked Detective Hazim, but his question is ignored.
"It's your idea! If you would stay quiet and just sit there munching on your Oreos, he wouldn't be late!" said Fareez.
"Hey! Oreos are nice! And by the way, it's your fault for doing it anyway!" replied Ainin.
Their voices get higher and higher. Other customers in the shop watched them debating. Some are interested in their debate. Some just want to know who'll win. Some are annoyed. But Fareez and Ainin don't care.
Detective Hazim facepalmed again, harder than the last one.
About 20 minutes after that, they agreed as a draw. Some people booed and they both blushed.
"Done? So who won?" asked Intan.
"Noone. It's draw." replied Ainin.
"Whatever." continued Fareez.
"Done embarrassing yourselves?" asked Detective Hazim, teasing. Fareez and Ainin giggled. They looked at eachother's faces and laughed.
Intan doesn't understand. "You guys were debating like hell, then you guys are laughing now?"
"That's how couples release their stress, Intan." replied Detective Hazim.
"HEY!" shouted Fareez and Ainin.
Intan smiled. She knows what Detective Hazim meant.
"So where were we?" asked Fareez.
"We need to discuss our plans about tonight. Let's just ignore Syahmi for now. I'll explain everything to him later." said Ainin.
"Hmm. It's like this. Our aim is to make sure Cobra is there tonight. Tonight, I'm not sure what team that we'll be facing. If it's team Slayer, we can finish our mission early."
"Do we need to win this match?"
"We don't have to if we don't want to. But what's important, whoever's fighting Cobra needs to do something." replied Detective Hazim.
"Which is?" asked Fareez.
"This." Detective Hazim took out a device that looks like a button.
"Now.. what on Earth is this?" asked Intan.
"It's a tracking device. Whoever fighting Cobra needs to stick this thing on him. Or if you're a pro, put it in his pocket. After the match, we'll follow him. When he's alone, we'll arrest him. Then we'll interrogate him about Syahmi's father. If we need to, then we'll torture him a little. We can't do it during the tournament. Only someone dumb will do that. Or his body is bullet proof.
"Now we're like villains." said Ainin. Fareez nodded.
"Hey, we're not going to kill him."
"But..." Intan continued her conversation. "What if we don't fight Slayer tonight?"
"Someone must put this device on Cobra while he didn't notice. Maybe while his busy watching the match or pretend to accidentally bumped into him. It's up to you."
"Sound easy." replied Ainin.
"So.. can you do it?" asked Detective Hazim to Ainin.
"With pleasure. Things like this are a piece of cake."
The tracking device is now in Ainin's hand. It's official Ainin is playing an important role in this mission. "But, why not we just win the match? Let's try our luck!"
"Yup. This mission is not a single-objective mission. Let's do it." said Detective Hazim.
"Even though we manage to get the information we wanted from Cobra we still can fight in MAUT right?" asked Intan.
"Of course. If we win this round tonight, what's the worst that can happen?" replied Detective Hazim.
Everyone smiled. Yes. Every single one of them wants something when they joined MAUT. As long as they work as a team, not being selfish, everything will go as planned.
"Coach! Coach!" Their conversation is stopped. Everyone looked around to see where the voice is coming from.
Syahmi is running towards them. His face is filled with exhaustion. He also looks shocked and afraid somehow. Syahmi stopped behind Detective Hazim while holding the chair he's sitting on. He's trying to catch his breath. Hah. Hah. Hah. Hah.
There are some bruises on his arm. His hair also looks like he escaped from a struggle. His shirt is dirty just like he just rolled in a pool of dust.
"What happened, Syahmi? Are you chased by zombies?" asked Fareez. Half teasing half serious. Fareez believes that the existence of zombie is possible. With the advanced technology today, some things that we think impossible may happen.
Syahmi shook his head with his chest going up and down. His shirt is soaked with sweat. Syahmi took a deep breath before telling his story.
"Actually, just now..."
