Martial Arts Underground Tournament, MAUT, finals.
The atmosphere in the arena is loud filled with the cheers of the spectators when a punch from Inspector Hajiq hit Lau's face. Urgh! Lau backed off. His nose felt numb. Blood started to fall to his lips. It felt much more pain when he touched his nose with his thumb. It's surely broken.
Lau took a deep breath and focused. Inspector Hajiq approached him again. Lots of punches were delivered to the man. Lau became more cautious. If possible, he doesn't want to be touched at all. His broken nose is enough. This time, let him break every bone in Inspector Hajiq's body.
Left. Right. Left. Agile, Lau avoided all the punches. He saw an opening to Inspector Hajiq's exposed chest. He exposed his chest! Lau lift up his legs to kick Inspector Hajiq's chest. Lau can't waste this moment that only lasts 2 to 3 seconds.
Waccchhiaaa! Lau shouted when his kick approaches its target.
"Oops. Too slow." Inspector Hajiq smirked when he managed to catch his enemy's kick. Lau was shocked. Looks like Inspector Hajiq is much more incredible than he thought. This guy is quite agile too. Quickly, Inspector Hajiq hit Lau's other leg that is still standing on the floor. Lau fell. His chest is readily exposed to be a target of Inspector's Hajiq death attack that may be the last attack for tonight.
Buk! Lau kicked the back of his opponent when Inspector Hajiq's foot almost hit Lau's chest. Inspector Hajiq is pushed forwards. The moment was used for Lau to get back up on his feet. Both fighters faced eachother.
Both of them look ready but none of them made a move. They look like they are looking for the golden opportunity to knock out their opponent with only one attack.
Eye meets the eye. Fists both clenched. Both legs are ready to make a move. It's time for them to attack.
"Wacchhiaaa!"
"Hiiyyaarghh!"
Lau and Inspector Hajiq attacked at the same time. Inspector Hajiq launched a flying kick. Quickly avoided by Lau. One centimetre left before the sole of that police officer reaches Lau's face. Immediately after Inspector Hajiq landed on the ground, he turned around to make another attack. Unfortunately, Lau is actually too close to him.
"Wacchhiiaaa!"
A one-inch punch attack made it onto Inspector Hajiq's chest. His eyes widened. His body is stunned there for a moment before falling onto the Earth.
"Hajiiiq!" shouted Sam. Panicking. He wanted to go into the arena to fight for him. But Detective Hazim held his shoulder.
"Wait, Sam. We still don't know who'll win. But if you enter that court, we'll lose."
The refree is counting. Sam is staring at the court. Inspector Hajiq looked weak but indeed he's still alive. Sam can only hope his friend will get back up.
"Five! Six!"
"Hajiq! Get up, Hajiq! I know you can!" Sam can't stop shouting.
"Seven! Eight!"
"Hajiq! Get up!"
"Nine!"
