Unusual Strength

A few minutes before MAUT begins...

A Japanese man is loitering around behind the abandoned shopping mall. While he walks around he looks up into the sky. He looked at his watch. Almost midnight. Almost time before the Martial Arts Underground Tournament starts.

"Sorry for being late." A man greets him. He is holding a silver briefcase in his left hand.

The Japanese guy looked at him. "So, why did you called me here for?" He puts his hands into his pockets.

"I have an offer for you, Takahashi. A good one." said the man.

"Go on." Takahashi listens attentively.

The man opened up his briefcase. Takahashi's eye widened unbelievably.

Money. Lots of em too.

"In this briefcase is 500 Thousand US Dollars. I'll give all of this to you if you agree to help me."

"Which is?" asked Takahashi.

"Don't let Team Perkasa move on to the finals no matter what. You can use any method you want."

"But do you even know who will my team fight againts tonight?"

"Yes. Team Perkasa. How did I get the info is not important. What's important now, do you agree to help me? If you agree, you can have this 500 Thousand US Dollars. If you succeed, I'll give you another 500 Thousand. What do you say?"

Takahashi smirked. "Only dumb people reject an offer like this." The briefcase change hands. "Consider it done..." Takahashi turned around and walks away. "....David."

Slayer won the semi finals againts Gangsta quite fast. There are no cuts nor bruises on either of the 3 Slayer fighters. Onlu sweat covering their bodies. If compared with Team Perkasa who even in the early stages had alreadt faced problems, their ranks are quite far apart.

Why? Well Team Perkasa consists of teenagers who didn't have any experience in MAUT except Detective Hazim. While Team Slayer had joined MAUT a couple of times already and had become a champion once.

"Suhaida? Ruby is Suhaida? Now who is this Suhaida?" asked Intan to Syahmi. Ainin and Detective Hazim is also waiting for an answer from that young boy's mouth. Syahmi scratched his head. His mind is trying to construct a sentence for an answer to give to his teamates.

"Aiman's girlfriend." said Fareez.

"What the heck?!" Syahmi smacked Fareez's shoulder.

"You took too long to answer."

"No.. She's not my girlfriend. She's.. um.. err."

"Your ex?" Detective Hazim cuts Syahmi's sentence.

"I don't know how to say this." Syahmi is really not a pro in situations like this. Love situations. She stills have the feeling towards Suhaida. Still. But since he and Suhaida didn't kept in touch for a long time, Syahmi just takes Suhaida as his ex. But, Syahmi asked himself. What if Suhaida still has the same feeling towards him?  Jf that's true, Syahmi telling everyone that Suhaida is his ex has been a lie.

Sometimes Syahmi felt like to give a death spin to himself because he can't even solve something as simple as this situation. Love situation. Maybe his time didn't come yet or he just doesn't have the talent.

"But, are you guys sure that's her?" Ainin stared at Suhaida.

"It's been a while since I last saw her face. But if I look at her face, I think Ruby's face is realky identical to her." replied Syahmi.
