As I roamed the halls trying to find Draco, I couldn't help but think of what Harry was saying. It honestly did make sense. I know he's planning something and he won't be here next school year. I just really don't want him doing anything stupid.
Rounding the corner, I finally caught sight of Malfoy! Thankfully he was alone.
"Draco." I whispered to him."Granger." He smirked as he peaked up from his book, "Come to see me?"
"Are you alright?" I asked worried, "Harry he-he told us what happened."
Draco's face hardened at my comment, "I'm fine."
I could tell his entire body language shifted. He was tense, very tense, and his jaw was clenched. It was almost as if he was mad or temperamental."Why the sudden change of mood?" I questioned.
He can't hide this from me.Draco then sighed and looked around the room, making sure there was no one else in sight. He took my hand, bringing me to an even more secluded area in the hallway. Carefully he backed me against the wall, bracing me for what he was about to say.
"I need you to promise me something.""Anything."
Draco looked at me deep in my eyes, "I can't tell you what's going to happen, just accept that. But I can tell you when."
What is he talking about?
"Next week I want you as far away as possible from the Astronomy Tower.""The Astronomy Tower?" I repeated.
He nodded, "Something bad is going to happen, and I couldn't stand it if you happened to be caught in the middle of it."
This can't possibly be happening.
"Draco...""No, Hermione." He interrupted, "I mean it. You have to promise me that you won't go snooping around, okay?"
For a moment I hesitated. I couldn't bear just leaving him in danger like that.
"Okay..." I muttered, "I-I promise.""I uh..." Draco swallowed hard, "I care for you a lot, Granger."
"I care for you a lot too." I replied.
I'm falling in love with you. Then he embraced me in a warm hug, making me feel secure. Yet I couldn't help the awful feeling in my stomach as I knew that I did not intend to keep my promise.
__________________________As the end of the week drew nearer, I couldn't help but feel anxious. Something was going to happen this coming week and it's not going to be good. I can't tell Harry, if I did..I would risk exposing my fondness for Draco. I need to be there for Harry and if he knew, he would push me away. I know it.
"Dumbledore has asked me to meet with him again in a couple of days." Harry was saying during breakfast.
Does this have something to do with Draco's plan?
"What are you doing?" I asked curiously.Harry shrugged, "I dunno. He sent a letter to me this morning saying to keep my schedule open. Who knows? I suppose we might be looking into some more memories."
I nodded to Harry, acknowledging what he was saying.
Maybe Draco is waiting for Dumbledore to leave...so he can do...whatever he has planned? It seems logical. It's smart. Bloody git."Hermione have you finished your history of Magic paper yet?" Ron asked quietly.
I know what he's doing. He wants to use my notes.
"You want my notes?" I asked him.
Ron never fails to ask for my highly detailed notes.Ron slowly began to shrug, "I mean it would help a ton."
Rolling my eyes I started to dig through my bag until I found one of my notebooks. I then tossed it to him, causing him to loose his fork.
"Thanks, Mione."
