"That sword is meant to be in my vault at Gringotts." Bellatrix whispered in my ear as she straggled my waist, "How did you get it?"

I couldn't help the tears flowing from my eyes and the sobs coming from my mouth as she covered my body. She had a very sharp knife pressed to my neck. I could feel it digging into my skin ever so slightly.

"Did you and your friends take it?!" She screamed at me.

I cried out in fear, "We didn't take anything. I didn't take anything!"

"I don't believe it." She whispered and held me down, grabbing my arm.

I let out a loud scream as she took hold of me. I felt stinging in my left arm as she began carving into my skin.
"STOP IT!" I screamed some more, "STOP IT!"

"Mum.." I heard Draco behind me whisper.

"Hold still, you mudblood!" Bellatrix scowled.

"AHHHH!" I screamed over and over again.

When she was finished, she crawled off of me and turned to Draco, "Get the goblin!"
Draco didn't move. He was frozen in shock.
"Ugh! Idiot boy!" Bellatrix exclaimed and pushed passed him, making her way towards Peter Petigrew.

For a moment, Draco and I were left alone. I was still on the ground, silently crying to myself as I looked at my arm.
MUDBLOOD was carved into it, now dripping blood onto the clean floors of Malfoy Manor.

"Hermione.." Draco whispered. I could hear the hurt in his voice.

I didn't answer. I couldn't move. I was in utter shock and complete humiliation. I was disgusted. I felt as if I could throw up at any minute.

Draco made his way towards me, looked down at me, and wiped his tears away as he bent down at my side.
"You shouldn't be apart of this. I ended things to avoid this, to keep you safe. I'm so sorry, Granger."

I looked up at Draco and cried even harder, "It's not your fault. Never put this on yourself."

"I'm going to get you out of here, Hermione. I promise." He said, wiping tears from my cheeks.

"Draco." His mother's voice came from behind him, "Your aunt is coming back." She warned.
His mother...why is she okay with this?

When Bellatrix returned, he quickly stepped away from me.
"How did they get into my vault?!" She asked Griphook.

"I..I don't know." He answered truthfully. "The last time I was there, it was in the vault."

"It's impossible!" She shrieked. "Consider yourself lucky, goblin!"
She then strolled towards me, picking me up by my collar, "But this one on the other hand.."

"Like hell!" Draco called trying to pull out his wand.
His mother grabbed his arm and pulled him back towards her, away from the chaos just as Ron and Harry stepped out of the shadows.

"Expelliarmus!" Ron called, knocking Bellatrix's wand out of her hand.
I fell right back down to the ground, unable to find my feet.

"Stupefy!" Harry yelled, knocking Lucius back.

Spells were flying, as well as people, until Bellatrix pulled me back off of the floor.
"Stop!" She yelled, "Drop your wands." She threatened, holding a knife to my neck.

Harry and Ron dropped their wands on the floor, both worried for me.
The knife pressed to my neck was cold and sharp, and every time I squirmed she pressed harder into me.
At this point, Harry's face soon started to return to normal and he was now easily recognized.

"Well...look here." Bellatrix smirked, "It's Harry Potter. Call the Dark Lord." She ordered Draco.

Draco stood there, scared and unwilling to move.  Lucius looked at to him and gave him a disgusted look. He knew Draco wouldn't do it.
Lucius then lifted up his sleeve and was about to touch his dark mark to call Voldemort himself to Malfoy manor.

As the room got quiet, we heard a scratching noise above us. Lucius stopped what he was doing, and the group looked up to see Dobby unscrewing the bolts on the chandelier above us.
As he finished, the chandelier quickly began falling. Bellatrix pushed me and slung me to the floor beside her. With a CRASH the chandelier barely missed us.

Draco rushed over to me, trying to help me up, "Hermione, you have to go. Now!"

After he helped me up, he shoved me towards Harry, Ron, and Dobby.
I couldn't help but notice the pleased look on Harry's face and the very confused one on Ron's.
"Grab the sword!" I exclaimed, finally able to speak.

Ron scrambled to grab the sword laying on the ground, but when he finally got it, Dobby was making his way towards us.
I took one last look at Draco, feeling extra heart broken and sad. Tears were flowing from his eyes and he let out a breath of frustration.
Before Dobby transported us out of the house, Draco smiled lightly, "I love you, Granger."

As we landed on the beach by Bill's home, I couldn't help the shock rushing through my body.
Ron was wrapped around me, but slowly unfolded his arms to look at me.
"Why did Malfoy tell you that?" He asked.

"Tell me what, Ron?" I lied.

"Ron. Hermione." Harry breathed out loudly and ran towards us, interrupting our conversation.
The three of us embraced one another in a tight hug, knowing that we barely made it out alive.
"We're okay. We're all okay." Harry said.

Then we heard Dobby's faint, distant voice say, "Harry Potter."

The three of us looked towards our friend, our savior, and gasped in shock. Harry rushed to Dobby's aid as he collapsed in his arms. Dobby had been stabbed. Bellatrix must have hit him with her knife when we were dissaperating.

"Dobby." Harry whispered.

"What a beautiful place," Dobby faintly sighed, "to be with friends. Dobby is happy to be with his friend...Harry Potter."

And that was it. Dobby was dead.
My heart ached for our friend. He saved me, he saved us all.

"I want to burry him." Harry told us, "Properly. Without magic."

After an hour of Harry digging the hole himself, we carried Dobby to his resting place.
His headstone we made him read, "Here lies Dobby, a free elf."

"It's lovely, Harry." I told him, hugging him tightly.

Harry nodded and wiped his eyes.
"I'm tired, Hermione. Tired of people dying."

"Aren't we all?" I replied, "It'll be over soon, Harry."

Harry nodded, "Real soon."

That night I couldn't sleep. So many thoughts ran through my head. Draco. Dobby. Finding the Horcrux's. We now knew one of them was in Bellatrix's vault, and our plan was so risky. We are going to break into her vault with the help of Griphook, but I can't help but wonder if we could really trust him.
Can you ever trust a goblin?

I kept seeing Draco in my mind over and over again telling me that he loves me.
I love him, I never stopped. It's so hard to imagine anything between us while this war is going on. He's a Death Eater, and I'm Harry Potter's best friend.

I was happy that Ron seemed to have forgotten about Draco's confession. I hoped that it would never come up again. He can't know, not yet.

As my mind raced through a million thoughts, I came on the memory of Draco and I's first kiss. The way his lips felt on mine, the way he pressed his body against me. And with that single thought, I finally drifted to sleep.
