~Hayes' POV~
I sat there and laughed along with Acacia. She joked around with me the whole period. Not even paying attention to Nash. She left to use the bathroom while I sat there. One thing was running through my mind. Don't fall for Acacia. Don't fall for Acacia. But it was so hard. She made me laugh and is always willing to hang out with me. She came back and I just stared at her. I shouldn't be crushing on my brothers girlfriend. But I couldn't help myself.
"You are probably the only person besides Nash who likes hanging out with me." I told her.
"Well for your information I love hanging out with you. You're the only person I can hang out with and not be criticized by." Acacia said.
'This isn't working. I still like her." I kept telling myself. We talked until the bell rang. I grabbed my backpack and walked away. I dragged myself up the stairs and walked to my next class. I sat slumped in my chair. When the bell rang the teacher greeted us and told us our plans. When we broke in groups we started talking about random things.
"Hayes didn't your brother get in a fight with that one guy."
"Cameron. He got in fight with Cameron Dallas. And he beat the shit out of him."
"Hayes!" My teacher yelled. "Language!"
"Sorry. But Nash did great for his first fight."
"That couldn't be his first fight. He knew what he was doing."
"You've met my brother. That was his first fist fight. He even got sent to-"
"Hayes! If I have to call your name one more time you're going down to the principle's office. Understood Grier?" The teacher said.
"Yes!"
~Acacia's POV~
In my last class of the day I was done with school. Since I had English and we had a silent read I fell asleep. I woke up when the bell rang. I shoved my book back into my backpack and walked to my locker. I stood there waiting for Nash.
"Hey Acacia!"
"Hey Hayes." I replied with giving him a hug.
"Who you waiting for?"
"Nash. We're suppose to walk home together."
"I just saw Nash walk out the front entrance. Seems like he forgot. I'll walk with you if you want too."
"Yeah. I don't want to walk alone."
"Wanna stop at McDonald's. I'll buy."
"Sure why not." I told Hayes.
We started walking down the stairs when my phone vibrated. I ignored it and talked to Hayes. We made it to McDonald's in about 10 minutes. Hayes ordered what he wanted and then I ordered what I wanted. Sitting in a mini booth we kept taking. We talked about so many things.
"Number 74." The lady called out.
"I got it." Hayes said.
He got up and left to get the food. I grabbed my phone out of my backpack and lite up the screen. A text from Nash. I was about to open it when Hayes came back. I turned it back off and shoved it inside the mini pocket.
"Anything important?" Hayes asked.
"Nope. Not at all."
