"You son of a bitch! Put me down!" She was struggling so hard to get off his clutches. All the restraint and courtesies left in her was gone the moment he dragged her out of the crime scene and threw her over his shoulder.

"Everyone knows that he is dead." He wiped away her tears then hushed her off. "But he's not. What happened back there was all part of the plan." Nakita nito ang akusasyon sa mga mata niya. "He is in a safe place, Calli. Still alive and breathing."

Naguguluhan siya sa mga sinasabi nito. If there's one thing that she can fully comprehend was the thought that Clayton's alive.

'Last night there was a change of guards in Clayton's room. The replacement who reported outside were different men. There was a murder attempt. Someone dared to kill him. But the fucker's lucky enough. He managed to protect himself."

"This wouldn't have happened if you only allowed me to see him!" Dinuro-duro nito ang binata sa dibdib.

"And let you handle those bloodthirsty thugs?" He mocked in return. "Honey, the last time you went into a fight, you almost died! Ano pa ang magiging silbi mo sa akin kung gigilitan ka sa leeg?"
