He grabbed her by the arm.

Nag-angat sa kanya ng tingin si Calli. Her eyes were filled with worry and horror. Nilayo niya ito sa mga nagku-kumpulang tao. Nagkakagulo na ngayon dahil nasaksak si Anabeth Culpepper. And his girlfriend is being accused of it.

But he won't hear any of that shit. No. Kahit pa nga ba nasa kay Calli na ang bakas ng dumanak na dugo mula sa anak ni Lord Culpepper. He will hear and believe her side no matter what.

Dumating na ang mga paramedics at agad na inasikaso nito si Anabeth. They quickly transported her out of the yacht at isinakay ng ambulansya. Mabuti na lang at nakadaong sila malapit sa pantalan. Merong infirmary ang kanilang yate pero lasing ngayon ang doktor dahil sa party na nagaganap.

"I came here as quickly as I can." Lumapit sa kanila ang kararating lang na si Caroline. Nanlaki ang mga mata nito nang makita niyang duguan si Calli. "Oh my god! You have b-blood in your dress!"

"It's Anabeth's, Rollie. I'm perfectly fine." She answered weakly. Hinigpitan niya pa ang yakap dito. Ramdam niya ang panginginig ng katawan nito.

"I'm taking her to our suite. Can you take charge for now?" Tanong niya sa kapatid.

"Give her a good night's rest, Cal. I've got this covered." Tinapik nito ang kanyang balikat at binalingan na ang mga guwardiyang nagkalat sa upper deck. He will come back later on.

"Let's get you inside." Binuhat niya na ito pero agad din naman itong bumaba.

"N-no, Cal. I'd rather walk." Nauna na itong maglakad sa kanya. And like a loyal dog he followed her; ignoring every courtesy and greeting na natatanggap niya sa mga crew at bisita ng yate.

He kept up to her pace. Ipinatong niya sa mga balikat nito ang kanyang coat. He gave her a reassuring glance and kissed her cheek.

Sa loob ng kanyang suite ay hindi mapakali ang dalaga. Pabalik-balik ito sa paglalakad.

"Don't you think that we should go to the hospital?" Frantic nitong tanong.

"No, baby. Everything's fine. Tatawagan na lang tayo ng pinadala kong crew kung ano na ang lagay ni Anabeth."

Sumalampak ito ng upo sa couch. "We were attacked, Cal. It happened so fast; I didn't even realized that Anabeth was stabbed. And now everyone's thinking that I did it because I was caught with a knife that harmed her!"

Kinabig niya ito papunta sa kanyang dibdib. "Hush, love. Not everyone's thinking about that. You did no wrong."

"You don't understand..." Humiwalay ito sa kanya. "Calvin, I could get into jail for this!"

"You are not going to jail, do you hear me?" He cupped her face. "Not unless they go through me first." Hinalikan niya ang sentido nito. "Now stop worrying and let's get you cleaned up."

Hinila niya na ito papasok ng banyo. Agad niyang ini-on ang hot shower at binalingan si Calli. There's still that deep frown on her forehead na nais niyang alisin.

"You can go out now. I'll do it myself." She weakly pushed him away.

"No. Hands up, baby. It's pamper time for you tonight." His hands automatically tugged the hem of her dress, motioning to peel it off from her delectable body.

"Calvin, please..." Mahinang tugon nito pero hindi siya nakinig. Mabilisan niyang inalis ang damit nito at hinila si Calli sa shower.

"You never really listen, don't you?" Umiling ito. But he knew better. She needed him right now and he will give her his care and protection.
