ch.16 Rain Is A Good thing

Ch.16

(Jade POV)

I watched Jeff stomp out the front door and sighed. What's wrong now? I saw Mary walk by and I called to her "What's wrong with Jeff?". She shook her head "It's Jeff". I could hear a slight tone of saddness but nodded. I looked at the door for a moment and went back to my room.

Jane and Anna where with me in my room. They seemed uneasy and anxious. I found this very strange. Anna just watched the tv news while Jane and I were talking. I sighed "I wonder what's wrong with Jeff". Jane smirked "Why? Do you like him?". I blushed and quickly shook my head "No no it's not like that". Anna laughed without taking her eyes off the tv "Suuuure. Just keep telling yourself that". Jane sighed "Awwww young love". I looked down at my lap "Guysssss". Jane laughed "YOUR IN LOVE WITH JEFF". I slapped my hand over her mouth "Shhhhh jeez okay okay I kind of sort a like Jeff". Anna looked at me "A little more then that". Jane laughed and got spit on my hand. I screamed and shook it off my hand "Ewwwww, JANE!!!". That only made her laugh even harder. I rubbed my hand on Anna's arm still crying "Ew ew ew ew". Anna slaped my hand away "Hey that's gross". I tackled Jane and rubbed it all in her hair. She screeched "MY HAIRRRRRRRR!!!!!". Anna was crying from laughter. Jane pushed me off her and was running her fingers through her hair glaring at me "You ruined my beautiful hair". I rolled my eyes and rubbed the rest of her suliva on my jeans. Jane you are one wicked bitch.

For an hour we throw stuff all over the room, watched tv, and layed tired and out of breath. So this was what it is like to have friends. I love it.

I walked downstairs and saw EJ with this red kidney on a plate. My stomach did a flip and I felt like throwing up. It was so gross. I asked weakly "You know were Jeff is?". He shrugged "He's still out". I nodded "Thanks". He nodded and walked off "If you find him tell him hi". I looked at him weird. How'd he know I was think of looking for Jeff?

I shook my head and put on a pair of white sneakers and my black hoodie.

I walked in the woods with my hands in my pockets and had my hood up. It looked like it was going to rain. My hoodie was custom made by me. I used to have two hoodies. My black and a green. My green one had a zipper and had white fluffy fabric inside so when it didn't fit anymore I took the fluffy part and sowed it in the inside of my black one. I just loved the fluff.

It started to rain lightly when I came upon a cave. I ran over to it and walked inside. I was a little wet but other then that okay.

I heard a nosie and then a hand came out of on where and grabbed my shoulder. I completely froze. I could feel the person's breath on my neck which made my hairs stand up straight.

(Jeff POV)

I watched Jade walk into my cave. I grabbed her shoulder and I could feel her tense up under my hand. I tried pulling her over but she screamed and swung her hand around and it came in contact with my left cheek. She had small beads of tears at the conner of her eyes but when she saw it was me her face showed guilt. I just sat there wide eyed. My mouth slightly opened and shock clearly writen on my face. She keeped her hand on my cheek. It felt nice but hell did this girl slap hard.

Her eyes widened "J-Jeff, I'm so s-sorry". I curled my lips and nodded "Ummm I-I just wanted to get your attention". Her face flushed and her checks were so colored with red it was so beautiful on her pale skin. I mentally smirked to myself. She sat next to me still blushing. I chuckled and sighed. She was so sweet you could get a cavity. Wow Jeff cheesy much? I slaped myself in my head. Stupid stupid.

(Jade POV)

I just slapped Jeff. Oh my- wha what was I thinking!? I should have known.

Now we were sitting in a darkish cave watching the rain get harder and harder. I guess we would have to wait til it cleared. It was close to impossible to see in this type of weather. So here I am sitting with Jeff alone. ALONE!?! I could tell my face was red but I do like him.

WHAT?! Bad bad Jade. You can't think like that! Jeff was my friend. He was my friend. Just a friend. For a second I swore I could here my heart skip a beat. A friend is that what he thinks of me?

I looked over at him and saw him take out his knife. He cursed "Damn it's getting dull. I really need a new one". I looked at it. It was a 5 to 6 in knife with a black handle. It was a pretty big knife and all but it was a bit dull. I looked at him "Can I see it?". He handed it to me and I took it in my hand. It was a bit heavy but it seems like a good weapon. Jeff shrugged "I can ask Ruby and Eric to check it out". I looked at him and he looked at me "They liked weapons so they studyed to make em and fix em". I smiled "They are so cool. They helped me train a little". He chuckled "They are pretty skilled". I handed him his knife "Why can't they go out and you know". He shrugged "Mary says wait til 15". I laughed "Wow she's like a mom". He laughed "Yeah and Slendy's like a dad/brother. So childish sometimes and then serious at other times". I nodded "True that".

My mind wondered to the kiss in the van. It was my first kiss ever. Sure it was an accident but it felt so real. I guess I zoned out because Jeff shook my arm. He smiled "You okay?". I nodded "Fine I was just thinking". He nodded "Ohhh okay". I looked down at my knees and started day dreaming again. I shivered from the cold. Even in my hoodie I was freezeing. Jeff sighed and got up and sat behind me and pulled me onto his lap. My whole body felt like it was on fire. I started to look up at him but he engulfed me into his white hoodie. Wow its was really big. I layed against his chest and his arms wrapped around me. He smirked "Better?". I nodded and inhaled his scent. I smiled to myself. It was a mix of spice and forest. It was amazing.

My heart pound against my chest I was afraid he could hear it. His black cotton shirt was soft and for the first time doesn't smell like the undead. I sighed to myself and enjoyed this moment.

(Jeff POV)

She was cold I had to do something and I'm glad I did. She little frame fit perfectly on my lap. I rested my head on hers and held her close to me. She smelled like vanilla and mint. I breathed in her hair which smelled like lavender.

I couldn't see how much more perfect this could get. I would trade anything to just have her with me. Even if it was a moment. I was going to protect her and that is a promise.

I sighed "Hey Jade if I told you I liked you would you like me back?". It was hard to get the words out but I'm glad I asked. Her cheecks flushed and whispered that I could barely hear "Yes".

My heart leaped up high and did a little dance. I held her tighter and smiled and whispered in her ear "Well then, I like you". She looked up at me and just stared at me "I-I like you too". I looked down at her. Her flawless face looked right back at me "Then let's seal the deal". Before she could protest I pressed my lips against hers ever so gently.

It was my first real kiss besides the van incident. She seemed surpised but I urged her to kiss me back and she finally did.

She wrapped her arms around my neck and I smiled.

She was mine. And mine alone. No one can have her but me.

We stayed there for what seemed like a life time. We talked, laughed, and joked. For the first time in forever I was finally happpy and found myself falling even deeper every second. God I loved this girl. I want her. I need her

(Jade POV)

I just made out with one of the most wanted murderers. Wow just wow. Words couldn't even describe how happy I was.

I was so comfortable just sitting here in Jeff's lap with his arms protectively around me.

The rain cleared and I looked up at Jeff "Should we go?". He smiled down at me "I really don't want too but the others are gonna worry". I nodded and I came out from his hoodie and stood up. I crawled out of the dark cave. Jeff was just behind me.

I smiled "Where'd you find that cave?". He shrugged "When I lived here I came across it and I went there when I need to calm down".
