ch. 23 One Week

Ch. 23

(Reth POV)

My little sister was alive! For years I thought she was dead along with my parents. Jade was my sister. I felt my throat tighten. I almost killed her! If that guy didn't show up I would've- no no I can't even think of it. I missed her so much but she's Fallen. Well what the hell so am I.

If Ashton finds out he'll kill both of us. I have to get away. It's going to be hard but I have to try.

Oh I have so many questions for her.

I got off my bed and started packing. I didn't know where she was but I will find her. I was not letting my family go. Not this time.

(Jade POV)

I opened my eyes slowly and sighed. My eyes were sore from crying but then I felt a warmth around me. I looked up to see Darren's face only a few inches from mine. My cheeks flared and I carefully tried to get out of his grip. But when I almost got free he stirred in his sleep and groaned a little. I smiled and then finally squeezed out of his grip. He turned over and opened his eyes half way but then went back to sleep. I mumbled "What a lazy bum of a protecter". I got up and walked to the bathroom. I got ready for the day and when I came back I found Darren up rubbing his head and twitching his fox ears. It was so cute.

He smiled "Morning". I nodded "Morning, Sleeping Beauty". He scowled "Whatever". I giggled. Worse come back evvvveeer. Darren got up and messed up my hair "Hey, where's Ben?". Then it hit me. I never found Ben when I was in the forest. I pushed Darren off "I don't know. I went looking for him yesterday but then Reth found me and then you showed up and I never saw him. I'm really worried about him. What if a Hunter found him first?". Darren nodded "I'll go look. I'll be back before dark. Be careful when you go out though". I nodded and he kissed my forehead "See ya later, darlin". He ran out the door leaving me in shock.

Did he just-? I was choking on my own breath. I blushed redder then an apple. Ahh no no no I can't fall for Darren. I still loved Jeff......I thought I did. I just hoped he was okay.

(Jane POV)

Jeff was not okay. He just stares into nothingness and mumbles shit that no one can really hear. He barely eats, sleeps, or kills. Only if needed.

When people try and talk to him he just zones out. He's getting weaker by the day and everyone is on a search to get Jade back. It's been chaos and Angela disappeared. She left without a single sign. Not even Slenderman could track her.

I pulled out my cell and called Jade. I heard her voice on the other end "Hello?". I was so happy she answered "Jade, we have a big problem. Jeff is not......Jeff. He barely eats, sleeps, or kills anymore. It's like he went to a black dark world and no one can get in. Please come back. For Jeff's sake.....for everyone's". It was silent on the other end for a while and then she sighed "Okay, I'll come back in a week okay?". I smiled "Oh yes, it's better then nothing". She laughed a little "Yeah, bye". I hung up and then I saw Jeff staring at me. I gulped. Oh damn he might have just found out.

Jeff grabbed my wrist.....hard and glared "Where is she?!". I shivered in fear "S-she's comeing back in a w-week". He glared more but realesed my wrist "Fine but any later I WILL drag her back her myself" then stomped off upstairs.

I rubbed my wrist. Damn he has a tight grip. Jade you better come back or else jeff's going to be the death of us all.

(Ben POV)

I opened my eyes half way. Someone fucking drugged me. I slowly lifted my head up and looked atound. I was in a dark cell chained to the wall. I had some dried blood on me but that must have been from being hit a few times. I was on the ground leaning against the wall when I heard a soft groan.

I looked up and saw Angela. I almost couldn't believe my eyes. It had been so long since I saw her and April. I missed them so much. They were my only friends back then but I didn't expect that we would meet again like this.......
