"Liar."
"Am not."
"Your pants are already burning up." I laugh at him.
Our hands are clasped together as our arms swing back and forth. We walk slowly through the tall grass.
"It's true!"
"I highly doubt it." I say while snorting at him.
"Hey, if I wanted to I could make you laugh so hard you peed your pants."
"Ya right."
"I can!"
"Fine."
"Fine yes? Or fine I'm a girl and I know I'm right so I'm saying fine to shut you up?" He asks.
I stop and hit his arm. I stick out my tongue and continue walking.
Harry and I have been exchanging random childhood stories. One of which Harry says he made his sister laugh so hard she peed her pants.
"You probably hurt yourself for her to do that."
"Did not, I'm just funny."
"Or did she scare you so well that you peed which made her pee because she was laughing so hard at you."
"No." He answers aggressively.
I pout my lips and make a sad face that probably doesn't turn out so well because I'm fighting back a smile.
"Oh pour little Harry can't take a little teasing." I tease in a childish voice.
"Shut up." He retorts.
"Or what?" I answer smiling deviously.
"I'll shove my big-"
"No Harry!"
He keels over laughing practically pulling my limbs off as he bends over and huffs and puffs to catch his breath. He lets go of my hand for a few seconds to fix his hair before grabbing hold of it seconds later. In the other hand he holds his jacket with his sunglasses sticking out of the pocket. He meets my accusing eyes as a beautiful smirk plays on his lips. I feel the blood rushing to my face as it becomes a stove that you can practically fry eggs on.
"You're really uptight about that."
"It's gross Harry."
"Usually girls don't do that. They enjoy this stuff."
"How many times do I have to tell you that I'm not like other girls."
"I know angel, I know." He says while nodding his head in agreement.
"Okay so this one time I was in the basement with my brother and we were playing video games." I start explaining. Harry watches me with a slight smile on his face. He looks ahead to watch his step but every so often he glances up at me.
"When I won he got so angry he ran upstairs and locked me in the basement. He turned off all the lights and left me there. The lights were on the opposite side of the door that my brother was holding firmly in place. I screamed and cried but he didn't open it."
Harry opens his mouth in an 'o' shape as he stares at me concerned.
"He didn't?!" He asks.
"No. So afterwards I stopped fighting and adjusted my eyes to the dark. I used to be scared of my basement and of the dark and after that experience I wasn't. So in a way he helped me overcome the fear of monsters." I say trying to make the word 'monsters' sound spooky. I laugh afterwards and glance at Harry.
