Doctors Point of View
It's been another painful 3 days.
I've been trying to work out a way to get Rose back. So far I haven't been able to come up with anything without destroying the universe at the same time.
"Ugh this is so hard! What did I do to deserve losing her?!" I shout at the ceiling. The TARDIS hums in my head.
"Doctor, you need to get back out there, you might find something or someone to help you get her back."
"You're right, thank you". I sigh as I run my hand along the console.
I pull myself together, it's what Rose would want.
As I flick the switches and turn the dials the TARDIS groans in delight.
"I'm sorry for making you wait old girl, let's get back on the road, eh?"
I hear another groan of approval. I trust the TARDIS, she knows what I need.
"Alright, take me where I need to go", I say out loud. The familiar whooshing sound begins and in a matter of seconds we've landed.
I can't help but wish that Rose was here, holding my hand excitedly, as I step outside.
I open the door and take a look around, I seem to be in a park, around 21st century in... France? I think as I observe two people walking past speaking French. I breathe in the air and sigh.
Suddenly someone comes crashing into me, tackling me to ground.
"Doctor!", Captain Jack Harkness exclaims as he reached out his hand to pull me up.
"Captain?", I ask, confused. "What is happening?"
"Well Doctor, let me say welcome to the city of loooove- Pari- " Jack stopped short, "wait, wait! Where is Rose?! I planned this whole thing for the two of you because I could not stand the tension between you two!" Jack blurts out, wildly looking around before he realises I'm trying tremendously hard to fight back tears.
"I-I... She's gone.", I say, looking down.
"Doctor... What do you mean?", Jack says concerned, his voice filled with despair.
"I lost her... She's trapped in a parallel universe. It's impossible to get her back. She gone, Jack. I can't- ", I stop myself before I say anymore and completely breakdown.
"Doctor...", Jack whispers, "I'm so sorry- I know how much the meant to you".
"yeah...", I sigh as I stride across and sit on a bench surrounded by a garden bed, filled with different coloured roses-pink, yellow, white and red. I stare sadly at the flowers, allowing one tear to slide down my cheek.
I quickly wipe it away, regain my posture and control my longing to wrap my arms around Rose as Jack walks over and sits down on the seat next to me.
"There's something else though...", I start.
"Hmm? Tell me then." Jack says, interested.
"I found this note, that Rose left me... Remember when we had only just met you, at the Game Center- when Rose absorbed the time vortex to save me, and accidentally brought you back to life, forever?", I question.
"Of course, how could I forget. I kissed you!", Jack chuckles.
"The note said that Rose had started to remember her time as Bad Wolf. She could see mine and her timeline... She knew she was going to get trapped in that parallel universe and yet she still went ahead with it..." I trained off, hung up on the thought of how amazing she was.
"Anyway-", I continued, "the point is that, it's impossible for her to be able to remember that, she's a human. Humans just don't posess that kind of brain power and capability. If she keeps remembering time and space itself... She could die." I stopped short.
"Not if she's not human..." Jack cut in.
"But, that's impossible! I would have noticed! I spent years with her, there's no way I couldn't have noticed!" I protested.
"Doctor, just think about it. She spent all that time in the TARDIS and she absorbed the time vortex. There's definitely a possibility that her biological structure could have been altered in some way, shape or form... Dontcha think?" Jack finished.
"Captain Jack Harkness! You brilliant man! You just gave me hope! The one thing I was lacking right now and the one thing I need the most. I've a got a plan... And its going to be brilliant!"
"Happy to be of service", Jack smiled widely, for he had hope too.
"Allons-y!" I yell as I point at the TARDIS and head towards her.
'Soon', I think to myself. I'll be there soon, Rose- my maybe not so pink and yellow human.
