ChanYeol was shocked and did not know how to respond instantly.
"What does that mean?" She stared at him, looking for clues on his face.
He found an answer, "JiEun, since when do you start asking so many questions? I give you something. You take it."
"Alright, I know. Not to ask questions. Just follow what you say." She whispered, "Thanks ChanYeol."
"Hm." He was satisfied.
She looked at the ticket. It was one week later. "So soon...and gone for two weeks."
"Yes."
She mumbled, "I'm not going to see you for two weeks. I'm going to miss you a lot."
ChanYeol was looking at the side mirror to change lane and was not paying attention, "Huh? What were you saying?"
"Nothing." She put the envelope in her bag and accepted his arrangement.

"Don't you want to come along with me to Japan? I will treat you." JiEun asked her friend HyeMin."No thanks. I still have a lot to do before taking off to New York at the end of next month." HyeMin said. She finally saved some money through working hard, and will study aboard.
JiEun bit her lips. Even though she did not say it out, she was going miss HyeMin. "Hey, I've got something for you." She handed a cheque to HyeMin, "I promised to lend you money. It's good to have more in your pocket...just in case."
This extra money would definitely give her a peace of mind. Yet, HyeMin was not a greedy girl, "Thanks JiEun. I'm ok, and..."
"Take it." JiEun stuffed the cheque in HyeMin's hand.
"Thanks. I will pay you back as soon as I can." HyeMin accepted it.
JiEun waved her hands, "Don't worry. I've got more than enough, sitting in the bank. You know...too much money...no use...just starting to overflow..."
It was obviously not pleasant to hear such arrogant and pointless comments. HyeMin tried to stop JiEun, "Nicky's uncle found me a place to stay at already. Here's my address." She wrote it down.
"Oh, your boyfriend will live with his relatives, and you stay elsewhere." JiEun wondered, "Why aren't you two living together?"
"We aren't married yet." HyeMin said shyly.
"Unbelievable." JiEun rolled up her eyes, "You're following him to New York. Don't tell me you have never slept with him. Well, when you two get there, you will do it anyway..."
"JiEun." HyeMin did not appreciate that.
"Ok!" JiEun changed topic, "I'm sure you'll do well in school. You're always hardworking."
"Thanks." HyeMin smiled.
"Your Nicky will work at his uncle's restaurant in Chinatown?" JiEun asked.
"Yes." HyeMin felt sweet, "We have plans. He will work, while I study. In a couple years, once he saved enough money, we will get married."
"Sounds ideal." JiEun sneered, "How much is he going to make from working at that old Chinese restaurant?"
"We don't need that much to support our living." HyeMin said.
"Whatever. Wait till you two struggle to buy only the on-sale stuffs from supermarket, have to go home and cuddle the crying kids, then you will know." JiEun laughed.
