Chapter 5:

At the Slytherin Table:

"Where the hell did Draco go?" Pansy Parkinson asked in a very irritated tone.

Blaise Zabini looked up at the annoying voice, he was about to eat her, only if looks could kill. He was sure she would lay dead on the table, before she could say Voldemort.

He hissed under his breath, "For Salazar Slytherin's sake, keep your voice low Parkinson and leave Draco alone!"

"Oh, shut up Blaise and don't you dare talk to me in that manner. God knows what's wrong with you and Draco, I'm sure Dark Lord would torture you and draco like he did to..."

Before she could complete, Blaise's anger rose up," Enough Pansy, don't you dare utter a word about that incident at Malfoy Manor, I swear if you bring this up again especially infront of Draco, I would not hesitate to use an unforgivable on you !"

Pansy opened her mouth to protest but Blaise got up and left the great hall.

The Slytherin's didn't notice that they were watched by dark caramel brown eyes across the great hall.

So Hermione was right, something has happened at Malfoy Manor, which has shaken Draco Malfoy completely.

But what could it possibly be ??

And who was tortured by Voldemort?

Oh my god, he's such a ruthless killer... But did Draco Malfoy really have a good heart ?
Ofcourse not, Hermione thought.

Draco Malfoy the boy who tormented her, made her life a living hell at hogwarts, called her 'Mudblood' all the time and never missed a change to show off, would never change in her opinion.

But still she couldn't stop but think about Malfoy!

Leaving from Great Hall:

Harry, Ron, Ginny and Hermione were heading towards their dormitory when Hermione suddenly remembered that she has to go to the library to issue new book.

"You guys carry on, I'll just be back.
Have to take Ancient Runes book from the Library."

Ron groaned," Bloody hell Hermione, This happens to be the first day of our sixth year and you have already started... "

Before Ron could complete, Ginny interrupted," Ron, you don't know Hermione has completed half of the portion in this vacation, she had been reading all the time, while you were busy with your Quidditch practice to hardly notice it."

Ron's mouth was wide open, Harry was grinning.

"Oh C'mon Ron, you know I love reading so stop making this a big issue and you too, Ginny. I'll see you guys in the dormitory. Bye for now!"
With that Harry, Ron & Ginny headed towards the Griffindor tower with Ron muttering under his breath (Bookworm).

Hermione went to the library and searched for the Ancient Runes book.

After registering it with the librarian, as she was leaving, she heard a faint mummer from the corridor...
She followed the voice which belonged to Prof, McGonagall, "Professor Dumbledore would like to meet you tomorrow morning at his office to discuss about your predictions."

"Ahh, Minerva you don't know what the future holds for you.... " said Prof. Trelawney in her dreamy voice.

"Right then see you tomorrow, goodnight" sternly said Prof McGonagall. Like Hermione, even she wasn't a big fan of Divination.

As Hermione was about to turn she met with her nightmare- Professor Snape!!

Oh bless my stars... I'm in big trouble now, she thought.

"Well, well, who do we have here...
Miss Granger, eavesdropping on teachers conversation! 10 points shall be taken from Griffindor." Snape was grinning at her.

"Miss Granger, what are you doing here?" Prof McGonagall asked in a stern voice.

Oh double bless her stars, she was now sandwiched between both her professors. Turning away from Snape, she faced her mentor.

"I was passing by the library, I didn't intend to eavesdrop your conversation professor. I apologise." Hermione said looking down at her feet as she could not face a grinning Prof Snape and a very serious Prof McGonagall.

"Well, you must go to your dormitory now Miss Granger, see to it that next time you don't eavesdrop, whether intentionally or unintentionally." said Prof McGonagall in a very serious tone.

Hermione made her way back to the dormitory.

Bloody hell !!!!! First day has literally shaken Hermione.
Great, now she is even cursing like Ron.

Her thoughts ran back to tomorrow's talk between Prof Dumbledore and Prof. Trelawney.
What could the pridiction possibly be??

She has to inform this to Harry & Ron immediately !!
